    MN - Daisy Holland, 2, Wapiti Park, 24 May 2013

    A 2-year-old girl is missing from a Sherburne County campground along the Elk River.

    According to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, the toddler was last seen around 8 p.m. Friday after disappearing from a campsite at Wapiti Park.

    Sherburne County authorities said Friday night crews were searching for a missing 2-year-old girl.

    She was last seen near the Wapiti Park Campground in Elk River. It's not clear yet how the girl went missing.

    Elk River Police Chief says several children, including Holland, were playing while parents set up camp around 8 p.m. Friday when suddenly the child was out of sight.

    MN State Patrol completed aerial search of the campground in Elk River where 2-year-old Daisy Jo Holland was last seen. Still no sign of her.

    @punchingthecore Apparently since 8:00 pm, but we didn't learn of it until roughly 9:30 pm. Access is limited now to emergency personnel.

    Yes it can!!!

    We had a case JUST like this in Utah, with a 3 year old boy.
    We found him ALIVE and it was absolutely AMAZING.
    I'll NEVER forget hearing the words "We got him!" coming over the walkie talkie!

    Just hold still Daisy... stay out of the water and let them find you!

    Unfortunately, it is the Mississippi River, which is high and fast moving due to the recent snow melt and rains. I really hope she wasn't near the river:-(
    EDITED: It is the ELK river which connects to the Mississippi River - both high and fast moving and not good....

    That is what is scary...the camp sites so close to the river...and the river fast moving....

    One of the comments on the article said the kids were playing in the water Who knows if that is true, but they are certainly close to the water....ugh
