Use this thread to discuss the recovered Harley Davidson motorcycle, and any new developments on stolen vehicles and the apparent "chop shop".

Marty MacDougall had his custom motorcycle stolen back in Oct. Guess where it was found? Dellen Millard's air plane hangar in Kitchener.

Certainly, there was no thought in mind that one day this brazen theft of a high-end bike would somehow have a connection to the alleged "Kijiji killers" case.

Umm , they imo are scoundrals. Thats their job. Is this new?
Anyways.. Back at the hangar the plot thickens...

It was stolen last fall! I wish that we had been given the exact date. This might provide a possible motive for murdering WM.

I wonder how many more such stories will come to light, of vehicles stolen after they were listed on Kijiji.

The Sun article says there were hundreds of vehicles found in the hangar.

Is there no airport securty at Waterloo? How is it that all these stolen vehicles (possibly inside trailers) were allowed entry to airport property. Not only that, but wouldn’t any visitors to the hangar need to go through some kind of security themselves? Would they have access to commercial aircraft, or is this located somehow in a separate area?

The hangar is designed to accommodate planes for maintenance, so would be accessed off a runway. Could the same thing have happened at Pearson International airport? It makes me wonder about putting people’s lives in jeopardy, having a bunch of criminals in easy access of commercial airliners.

This is a question I have also. Waterloo Airport is not large but nevertheless it is international with airport with scheduled jet service to Calgary and Chicago.

The Hangar would have direct access to the secure "airside" environment. Passengers departing the airport must of course go through extensive security checks to be allowed on the "airside" and yet Dellen and his crew had unlimited access? I'm surprised that the activities inside the hangar did not come to the attention of airport security.

Maybe they did, follow the money??? Just a thought, paid off people they know well to turn the other way? JMO

IMO, the pieces really seem to be coming together. DM needed the work space and storage of the hangar. Too much was going on and he couldn't do most of this under his dad's nose. WM had to go for all of the vehicles to come in. It's too coincidental for him to "begin" this lifestyle after his dad's death. Especially if he's "grieving".

You could be right. It was probably a source of conflict between them. WM was planning on servicing planes in the hangar and would have had problems if the hangar was full of stolen vehicles.

I guess the Harley is definitive proof now that the Hangar(s) were being used as a chop shop. Most of us thought so from the beginning. JMO

As the overhead photo shows on the previous page of this discussion, the Millardair MRO hanger is on the opposite side of the runway to the passenger terminals, and most of the other airfield operations. It also has it's own individual access roadway into the hanger. The runway itself acts as a security buffer. ANYONE crossing that, unauthorized, is going to alert the airfield personnel.

On the terminal/facility side of the airfield, it is pretty open. If you fly in on a light private aircraft, you are pretty much free to wander at will .. except on the taxi-ways and runway, of course. Or at least this was the way it was, 10 years ago.

Waterloo is still at the regional airport stage. It would surprise me if they had anything more than rent-a-cops as off-hours security.

My personal developing theory ..?

Sonny-boy has been running amuck for some time. All manner of Trailer Park Boy style get rich quick schemes (escort service, really?) developing into more nefarious and sinister behavior as time went on, and spoiled rich boy got bolder.

People started saying No to him. Girlfriends, acquaintances, even dear old Dad, who was himself a bit of a maverick and a bit of a reputation in his day.

My theory - in the intervening years since Grand-dad died in 2006, to present day - Millardair as a business entity was in holding pattern. Son may have been put on trust fund support, to save the family fortune for better days and long term plans. Son decided to supplement that income. How much are you going to make flipping burgers with a Chef diploma, and sitting as an "Officer" of a company that is not making any money as a business entity - All the while Jet-setting it up, treating his pals, generally living the life, and investing in real-estate and party pads?

Obviously with "Hundreds" of vehicles in question of ownership - he's been at this, and likely other schemes with his flunkies for a little while. The HD and trailer was stolen 7 months ago, for example. Possibly he was hoping to hitch a ride on the newly rejuvenated family business for the storage and other perks of doing his nefarious biz in a legitimate biz.

My guess is, come last November, dear old Dad said "surprise! we're having a grand opening of the new hanger facility. By the way, clean your **** up". Perhaps dad had tolerated the activity for a while, because otherwise the space was wasted while the business was being set up. If you are TM, what exactly do you do with 200+ vehicles (or even a sizeable fraction of that, at that point of time) that have erased VIN's, or are otherwise altered from original condition in terms of useability, in a relatively short period of time to do so? Warehouse space ain't exactly cheap, and traffic like that to a warehouse in the community WILL attract attention. Even a wrecking yard or two will be raising an eyebrow at that motley lot of shady vehicles being dumped on them, just to be rid of it all..

Perhaps Dellen wanted his cake, and to eat it too. His inheritance, and his ultimate-man cave full of stolen vehicles. at least two people appear to have perhaps gotten in the way of this spoiled rich kid's plans - Wayne, and Tim ..

Draw your own conclusions from here.

I still do not see how someone with DM's money would want to run a chop shop. IMO it is far more likely that someone was either renting facility or claiming to be a business type guy in order to gain access and store cars/trucks. We have been told that DM is not mechanically minded so obviously he would not be the one working on the vehicles or even co-ordinating which ones are required to be sold via whatever means they were being sold, either as parts or complete. One of his friends has been shown as having a tremendous amount of mechanical knowledge, but he cannot be mentioned here as he is apparently not a POI as far as LE are concerned. There is also another 'friend' of DM who apparently sells parts from cars etc online. Some of these parts are very expensive, which I find interesting ...JMO of course, but where would one obtain rather sought after parts on a regular basis. hmmm Again solely MOO but interesting all the same. Then we have the possible interest in DM's land, hangars etc etc...possibly someone or some corporate body feels like they would benefit from some if not all of these riches...nothing like a good seizure to come up with property that otherwise belonged to someone else.... JMO and solely MOO as I have said. But rather than more pieces coming together IMO the waters are getting more and more muddied..... JMO

Totally on board for this....I know of people with sociopath tendencies/behaviours....I know what I am capable of doing....If I had 100 to 200+ vehicles in my hangar and this is what I love doing cuz its risky and pays big...then either my dad finds out or knew about and yes, says get rid of the stuf, I dont care how but you have 30 days for example...there is the high risk of getting caught moving this product if you want to save all the $$ involved or if you burn it, crush it, let someone else take it off your hands for 20 cents on the dollar.....that is a lot of coin in there....minimum a million + maybe a maximum of 4 million + who knows.....I know I could not take the easiest the easy way out....but a person with sociopath behaviours could and too many signs point to DM being like this...some people do not realize that a sociopath can pass themselves off as the most normal person ever....that is what makes many cases like this so shocking to many.

Fine conjecturing on your part, Blomquist, but if all these excuses you list are shown to be actual fact, then DM must have been spending all of his time up in the clouds! :seeya:
