From May 2014:
Adan Quiroz “Manuel” Rodriguez last week entered a no contest plea before an Alleghany County Circuit Court judge to charges of first-degree murder, concealing a dead body and using a firearm in a felony...
Last Mother’s Day, the family was visiting Ashley Rodriguez’s mother. Rodriguez left under the pretense of buying beer, but went to Walmart and bought shotgun shells. He returned to his mother-in-law’s house and took his wife and daughters with him to the cemetery under the pretense of finishing paperwork. Rodriguez left the children in the van to watch cartoons, shot his wife in the head and then partially buried her in a shallow grave.
A Covington man will spend 40 years in prison for murdering his wife on Mother’s Day 2013 and burying her body in a shallow grave.
