CA - Erik Lamberg, 51, Redondo Beach, 25 May 2013

    Erik Lamberg
52 yrs old. (news article says 51 yrs.)
    6'5" 200lbs.
hair blonde? (not listed, just looking at picture.)
Erik has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Erik left his home May 20th after a family issue.
He called his family May 25th from a motel in Laytonville, CA but no one has heard from him since.

On Saturday, police found his 2004 Honda Odyssey stuck in the mud on a rural dirt road between Willits and Fort Bragg in Northern CA. This location is appx 3-3.5 hrs walk from Fort Bragg.

There has been no activity on his credit card since May 28. It says no activity on his cell phone but doesn't give a date of last use.
Family fears he may be lost in treacherous territory.

Facebook page says he may have been heading to Oregon.

Possibly the most ridiculous question ever asked by an attorney in court: "So if somebody's not alive you can't get any information from them?" JW

According to this article, Erik has not been found yet! Also below is a link to a FB page loved ones have started.

"Police found no recent activity on Lambert’s cell phone or credit card. His cell phone company was contacted and Barney said they attempted to ‘ping’ the phone, but were unable to locate it, adding that the phone hadn’t been used since the 27th. Clothes and other personal belongings, including a cell phone charger, were left in the car. Barney said police are processing additional evidence found in the vehicle but would not confirm what that evidence is."

The correct spelling is Redondo Beach; however, Erik's wife reportedly lives in nearby Hermosa Beach. More significantly, their home is an apx 8-hr drive from the area in Mendocino County from which Erik went missing.

MidwestMama, thanks again for starting this thread. It saddens me that there have been no updates in msm about this missing man.

My husband knows the area where Erik went missing; in fact, my stepdaughter had to layover there a few months ago after experiencing car trouble herself near Willits.

The forested area nearby is dense and the foliage so thick that air searches may not be fruitful. I would hope to see more done on land to find this husband and father, missing far too long now.

If you have any information, please contact the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office at (707) 463-4086

Just to be clear. The body found at Dockweiler Beach was NOT Erik.

    Praying he is found soon.

Mental health: A husband goes missing: Could 'Laura's Law' have helped?

In late May, while driving to a sober treatment facility in Oregon, Samantha Lamberg's husband, Erik, went off the medication he was taking for his bipolar disorder.

A few days into his trip, his broken-down van was discovered along a remote road in Mendocino County. Erik has yet to surface, despite a large-scale search.

    [snip]

Jacobs says Laura's Law — which allows for court-ordered outpatient treatment for those mentally ill people who are unable to realize that they are sick — may have helped the Lamberg family.

It would be awesome if Laura's Law were adopted in all counties in CA! Especially Alameda Co where my son lives and refuses treatment
