This doesn't sound good. Its unlikely she would leave on her own without shoes. It also sounds like she was responsible and wouldn't leave her client alone. I hope she is found quickly and that she is alive and well.

ADULT MISSING PERSON

The Akron Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating an adult missing person. Taylor Robinson, 19, of East Archwood Avenue in Akron, was last seen late Friday night, May 3, 2013 when she was dropped off at a residence in the 700 block of Kipling Avenue for her job as a home health care aide.

Robinson’s family had not heard from her since.

Taylor Robinson is a black female, 5’03”, 150 lbs., and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and gray leggings (pants). She had her hair in a ponytail and a white and black bandana around her head.


Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Taylor Robinson is asked to contact the Akron Police Department, Detective Bureau at (330) 375-2490 or the Missing Person Unit at (330) 375-2530.

Mother’s Day won’t be the same this year. No handmade card, no poem to add to her lifelong collection.

Instead, Carmilla Robinson holds hope that her 19-year-old daughter, Taylor, will just come home. They’ve never missed being together on Mother’s Day.

“Never. Not in 19 years,” Robinson said Saturday.

When Robinson returned to the house Saturday morning to pick up her daughter, Taylor was gone.

Most troubling was the fact that Taylor left without her coat and without her shoes. Her cell phone was gone, and also shut off and could not be tracked. Police scanned Taylor’s phone records and learned that an ex-boyfriend had called her about 10 p.m. the night she disappeared.

Police have searched the Akron man’s car for evidence of foul play. They have also tried to interview him about Taylor, but instead the ex-boyfriend contacted an attorney and has so far not fully cooperated, police say.

The person she was caring for couldn't tell what happened? My mother has Alzheimers and has a night sitter. If something happened, my mother wouldn't know. How sad.
 
One week after the world heard of the rescue of three women who had been missing for a decade in Cleveland, an Akron mother was invited to speak at Akron City Council’s May 13 meeting.

Tearful and soft-spoken, Carmilla Robinson spoke briefly, saying she doesn’t want to be the only one believing her daughter, 19-year-old Taylor Robinson, who has been missing since early this month, will one day come home.

“I don’t want people to let Taylor just be a name in a newspaper and a face on a telephone pole,” she said. “I just hope and pray and ask for any help that anybody can give us.”

When Carmilla Robinson returned about 7 a.m. Saturday, her daughter was gone. Only Taylor’s coat and her shoes remained.

Police say Taylor’s cellphone was shut down shortly after 7:30 a.m. Saturday A text was sent to a friend about 5 a.m., but the message, which contained a vague reference to seeking a favor from a friend, was not returned.

Taylor Robinson was dating a man who has cooperated with police investigators in their search, detectives say.

Investigators and family members also say Taylor has a former boyfriend, a man she had dated until recently. He called Taylor’s cellphone late Friday night. The call lasted two minutes.
