A Mother and her 8 year old daughter were found murdered in their home in co Kerry,Ireland, this past Sunday. The 8 year old's throat was slit and her mother had been stabbed multiple times. They were originally from Lithuania.
Gardaí investigating the murders of a 27-year-old woman and her eight-year-old daughter in Co Kerry have renewed their appeal for information.
The bodies of Jolanta Lubiene and Enrika were discovered at their home in Killorglin on Sunday night.
Preliminary results of post mortem examinations confirmed they died of stab wounds.

A YOUNG girl was murdered before her mother because she recognised their attacker, gardai believe. Murder detectives now believe that the killer stabbed eight-year-old Enrika Lubyte in the throat in front of her mother, Jolanta Lubiene, before before unleashing a crazed attack on the 27-year-old Lithunanian. Officers are focusing part of their murder inquiries on the Lithuanian community as they believe that Jolanta knew the killer.

Detectives believe that the young mother of one may have known the double murderer, as there were no signs of forced entry at their rented semi-detached home, in the Langford Downs estate in Killorglin, County Kerry.
They also suspect the killer may be from Eastern Europe.
It is understood Ms Lubiene had taken out a protection order against someone she knew in the past, though this person is not currently a suspect.

This is a murder that has really shocked Ireland. no one has been arrested for it as of yet. Gardai believe that she had been active selling items online to fund a return trip home to Lithuania and that this is one line of enquiry.they are also investigating a restraining order she had on someone recently. Her husband was working in sweden at the time of the murders.
