Nestle CEO: Water Is Not A Human Right, Should Be Privatized
April 26, 2013

Is water a free and basic human right, or should all the water on the planet belong to major corporations and be treated as a product? Should the poor who cannot afford to pay these said corporations suffer from starvation due to their lack of financial wealth? According to the former CEO and now Chairman of the largest food product manufacturer in the world, corporations should own every drop of water on the planet — and you’re not getting any unless you pay up....

Oh I beleive he said it even without watching. It's why homes are put on municipal water supply or should I say legally required. While you're at it you must be legally required to hook into the new sewer system the cities install.

Nothing like being a water lord charging people by the gallon for that green grass. If it's free make it illegal and if it's legal put home and land developers on the city commission, they'll fix free for ya.

Now sometimes it's for the best, many many other times it's an unneeded scheme\monopoly. While you're at it, will ya'll let us tax you to build us a new football stadium.

Just sayin

The water in question belongs to Canadians and in Canada corporations don't enjoy human rights. &*I%(&$%$W.b.(*^&* Nestle

Seriously I hate this corporation.

Corporations shouldn't enjoy human rights anywhere, JMO

Anyone wondering how close to Frank Herbert's Dune things could become?

Sigh.

Nestle is a scary company indeed.

No, idiot...if it falls out of the sky, it's free. Next you'll be wanting to charge for air.

(do NOT tell them I said that...)

Steely, is there a link or am I missing it? these ol eyes....

From your link:

The way in which this sociopath clearly has zero regard for the human race outside of his own wealth and the development of Nestle, who has been caught funding attacks against GMO labeling, can be witnessed when watching and listening to his talk on the issue. This is a company that actually goes into struggling rural areas and extracts the groundwater for their bottled water products, completely destroying the water supply of the area without any compensation. In fact, they actually make rural areas in the United States foot the bill.

As reported on by Corporate Watch, Nestle and former CEO Peter Brabeck-Letmathe have a long history of disregarding public health and abusing the environment to take part in the profit of an astounding $35 billion in annual profit from water bottle sales alone.

Unbelievable...if the corp was really a person it would would be arrested!

So should we start boycotting Nestle?

I already boycott Procter and Gamble, and Walmart, what's one more company to avoid? Haha

Back in the eighties, IIRC, Nestle was sending people dressed like doctors and nurses into the poorer areas of Africa to convince women that Nestle formula was better for their children than breastmilk. That was a long, long time ago and a different CEO, but they've been dirty before.

Nestle CEO is one sick bastage. He makes me want to puke chocolate.

What next an air tax to make him richer?

I hope this is spread across the world, people boycott his company and he is shunned and shame for the he truly is, and kicked out of the company. Of course he has the money and has his paid trolls all over the internet trying desperately to defend what is really undefendable sicko point of view.

Except for making money at the expense of human suffering nothing else bothers these greedy narcissistic a-holes as their true nature shown to the world. Instead of his smiling face on a magazine as CEO of the year or such, I hope his smiling face is shown as one pathetic, greedy, selfish pizz poor excuse for a human being.

Calgary...tell this pathetic CEO to come and get his freakin' water out of your city.

That is so funny Show Me - Nestle and other like minded corporations will be sure to write a clause absolving themselves of water damage should such ownership ever come about, which I highly doubt.

No more Nestle products in this household!

just my opinion - the heading...

This is one of the most dangerous sentences ever uttered in History!

If he's talking about it now, then 'they' already have plans to implement it. Don't get me started on HAARP and weather manipulation as well...
Yes, I have my 'tinfoil hat' on, but after reading that the signal seems pretty clear.

He also mentioned his main purpose - to keep his enterprise profitable, and with that said - to accomplish that and keep the profit wheels turning... there are no rules.

charge 'em rent, with a clause stating no more of their water is allowed to fall on the city.

I'm boycotting Nestle too. Unfortunately they probably own so many companies it will be hard to figure out what exactly Nestle owns.

Mr. CEO 'Water is All MINE!' will probably send Calgary a bill for the water with an extra fee for 'excessive usage'.

Really the galling nerve of this disgusting man! Who made him God or Emperor of the World?

Water is not a human RIGHT? Well I guess he is Sub-human.

Totally agree...one of the most dangerous sentences I've ever heard from a CEO wanting to deny the poorest of the poor...water.

At least most other CEO's just want to rob us of all our money...
