Some MP sites state he went missing on August 30, 2001, others state September 30, 2001 as the date he was last seen.

Missing for 12 years.

I can't seem to find any newspaper articles, Facebook page for Cory, any other pictures of him...Has nobody been looking for this young man? What happened to him?

So sad...
 
I'll put him on my list to feature on the front page. Maybe someone who knows him will come and help us out! :hug:
 
That's a great idea, Kimster! There must be someone out there that knows him and wants him to be found.

I'm wondering if he might have committed suicide by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge and that's why people aren't actively looking for him anymore. There's just so little information available, a lot of room for speculations. We don't know the exact location he went missing from, not even the correct date. Such a sad case.
 
Surely this young man must have relatives and friends who are searching for him?! Bumpin' this up so hopefully expert sleuthers can lend a hand in finding out more about Cory please? It's just so sad that so little is known about his disappearance :(
 
Strange. I cant find anything other than the basic stats on this young man. I live here in the SF Bay Area and have never heard of this missing persons case. They are usually well publicized. Very odd. I will keep looking through archives
 
Wow, so happy to see Cory's case as featured cold case!

Someone must have known this young man. Family members, people who grew up with him, went to school with him, used to have a crush on him, lived next doors with him...Anyone?

Is Cory a SF Bay area native? Where in SF did he go missing from? And when exactly?

I have a gazzilion questions and hope we can get some answers now that his case is in the spotlight on here.

Do you guys think we could get some additional information from LE in SF? Probably they know as little as we do.

Someone must have reported Cory missing 12 years ago...If you know Cory, please help us gather some information.
 
It's strange that there is so little out there. Maybe US sleuthers could get in touch with the police department in charge of the case and ask for some info that could have been released at the time? Or check newspaper archives if they have a subscription?

I doubt it's him, even though they seem geographically close and this guy looks a bit like the missing Cory. Somehow I don't think they're the same person, this guy hasn't exactly been living off the radar like most people who disappear and then are found alive and well.

I think it might be a cousin, perhaps? They also seem like they could be close in age - this man looks like he might be in his 30s, as Cory would be now.
 
Such a handsome young man! I hope that we will get some more information about his disappearance now that he's featured as the cold case.
 
Not a lot of information to go on, is there? One day Cory lived in San Francisco. Then he didn't.

How sad to not have anyone looking for him. I hope this gets the attention of some of our brilliant sleuths (not me lol)!

That's a great start! An UI jumper, maybe? I'll start checking around for anything around those dates.

I wonder if he liked to hike. Skeletal remains were found on a mountainside in Los Angeles County in July of 2003, thought to be there maybe 3 years.
