    What does Linda Arndt know?

Linda Arndt has claimed that she knows who the killer is and that they will never be prosecuted.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y52_g...utu.be&t=8m22s

How is that possible? What do you believe she knows that would make such a statement true?

Also, is it true that she visited with PR before her death and she disclosed new information to her? If so, what could that have been? A confession or incriminating testimony against someone else?

BR couldn't have been prosecuted because he was underage. PR wasn't deceased at the time of the interview, so in theory, she still could have been. Same for JR.

It's perplexing. I'm surprised there isn't more talk about Arndt and what she knows.

I know, I'd love to know. Why would PR confide in her though? Of all people.

It is strange, although going through the ordeal of the 26th together -- perhaps they developed some sort of rapport? Maybe Arndt felt sorry for PR?

If Arndt does know who the killer is, she'll eventually talk. Maybe a book? A message in her will? Perhaps she's waiting for the person to pass away?

I'd like to believe that she would not let the killer go unannounced, even if she believes they can never face justice.

Interesting read. It seems she really sympathized with PR from the beginning. Don't know if that's really so appropriate for someone involved with the case, but I guess once she was taken off/quit it was not a conflict. Might have clouded her judgement about how events played out though.

I get the impression that she is convinced that PR was not involved (otherwise I don't think she would be reaching out to her so much). Who does that really leave except JR, BR and/or an intruder?

Was that book she was writing ever released?

I think she knows that Patsy is the killer. Patsy probably slipped up before she died, and she can't be prosecuted now (well, here on earth anyway).

While reading ST, LS and Kolar,I got the sense that PR and Arndt developed a connection as the investigation developed.

She knows nothing and is lying.

dunno about the lying part though...she just wanted to feel important ,she had a gut feeling (MAYBE the right one) and felt ignored by her co-workers

Linda Arndt was trained as a rape victim specialist. She had an inclination to see women (and this included Patsy) as victims, and not as the aggressor. I believe she suspected JR in the first moments (based on his reactions, words and demeanor when he brought a clearly dead JB up from the basement, as well as being suspicious as to why he "disappeared" from view for 2 hours during a time when he was supposed to be receiving that all-important phone call from the "kidnapper". She was also suspicious as to why he made a bee-line for the basement instead of JB's room (where she had presumably been last seen alive). Finding her body only furthered that suspicion. Whenever a parent claims a child is missing and then finds their dead body inside the family home (ransom note or not) that places the blame FIRST on the parent(s).
As the investigation continued, she eventually discovered what other investigators discovered (including the DA) - that the crime had been committed by someone they would not be able to prosecute. But I feel that she still viewed Patsy as a victim herself- someone who had to do what she did to protect her family. MOO.
THIS time, we get it RIGHT!

Perhaps because she was given drugs for her cancer pain.

I still think, and have always thought, that PR was the killer. Not on purpose. She was suspicious, went down with the mother of all Mag lights, and witnessed JR sexually abusing JonBenet. I believe she lashed out with that flashlight and hit JonBenet, instead of her intended target: her husband.

After that they had to stay together and protect each other.

So very sad for JonBenet that she had parents that sexually exploited her, but also put her in pagents where she looked like a little hooker. God bless JonBenet!

Your theory is one discussed on FFFJ pertaining to the strange call received by DH of Access Graphics regarding the PR/JR scenario. It’s also discussed in Hodges book A Mother Gone Bad. (That book never got traction, most likely for it’s heavy “psychological/Freudian” interpretation of the Ransom Note. But there were some nuggets in the book such as some background on PR and JR and some of the experience Hodges said he’d had in his psychiatry practice with men who, in their 40’s and 50’s, initiated their first-time molestation.)

If PR shared anything with LA, it might have been about some issues in her family. PR had either convinced herself of her family’s (and her) innocence or she could not take any risk that anything would come out which would bring shame for BR or shame And legal problems for JR. Her gravestone reads: “Grace, Love and Faithfulness Through All.” A hundred years from now if one reads the gravestone one might think, “What a woman!” But there’s still a chance someone may reveal something which will put another slant to that thought. MHO

I don't for a minute believe that it is PR and that she had sympathy for her. I believe it is someone else. And If she does in fact know the only reason she would not come forth with proof and her case would be someone that could hurt her. That is not PR.

I believe the if she does indeed know, IT is not one of the Ramseys..

4jacy, I agree, and PR had no problem covering it up since that behavior was familiar for her.
