    Kim Mallon - possible match?

Hi all! This is my first time posting but this case is so intriguing I just had to start looking around. I was checking out the numbers scribbled on the notes page and found something interesting. The Colorado number does belong to the attorney Miles Gersh but in the 80's and into the 90's it is listed as belonging to Mallon Oil Company (Articles of Incorporation filed 5/31/1978) and Mallon Resources Corporation (Articles of Incorporation filed 7/18/1988). I found an SEC filing from Dec. 31, 1999 for Mallon Resources Corporation listing 303-293-2333 as their phone number. I'm not sure how LEK could be connected with these companies but it's certainly interesting.

You know, I thought this girl had to have resources out there. I wonder if Kimberly Mallon fits the profile? Please look over it. The resemblance is kinda quirky. Then again, I may be tired. I didn't do the math.

she was 13 with scars on both wrists that is so heartbreaking. I hope whatever she was enduring, she found peace within herself.

Kim had a history of mental illness escaped from UCLA here is the charley project link of her profile. If she didn't intend to kill herself, those scars would fade over time. Most do. But there's no way of telling with LEK because she was cremated.

    Thank you for that.

i will add that I just stumbled upon this case today due to a link on FB. I read about her possibly having been a dancer, anyone know where that came from?

Also they remarked about her hands. i'm wondering if she has a missing persons out there and it speaks about her hands? identifying marks possibly? Or was she simply worried about her finger prints?

Sounds like a psychotic break but it mentions she might have been medicated for ADD. She was acting like she was on speed as well.

I checked out Kimberly Mallon as well. Her birth date certainly falls in the 60-68 range given by the investigators but there are a few differences in physical descriptions. For example the scars on both wrists (that makes me so sad). LEK is said to have no scars.

I just don't know what to think about that phone number yet. Just a thought but it would be interesting to see if LEK resembles anyone in the Mallon family from Denver. Or maybe she was connected with an employee or even one of the other principles in the corporation.

That's what I thought too. Maybe this was her way of trying to contact her real family and she had second thoughts all over that scratch paper. You can see that she was trying for hours because of how many times she'd written and then went BACK over certain numbers (some as many as three or four times).

Kim also had a sister named Lori (coincidentally) spelled the same way. I went through a depression phase when I was 14 due to some things that happened in my past. That's how I know the scars fade. (Everythings ok now)

LEK probably didn't have known scars because they were too faded to see. I can see where the excitement of a "new life" would actually drive someone to feel better about getting a new start. And boy, she was determined to do just that. JMHO

Mentally Ill probably fits LEK's profile as well... and suicidal... the blue eyes have me concerned... LEK definitely look either brown or hazel to me.. but that could be wrong. There is DNA on Mallon, might be worth submitting... to have them check..

Kim Mallon might be worth submitting, she was suicidal... and mentally ill, in the right area, number was on LEK's paper... Mallon has DNA on file it would probably be worth having the SSA detective check the DNA to be certain... only thing off is the blue eyes, but that could be bad info, it has happened before.

I already emailed him with the Sheri Lynn Johnson info...he is checking DNA on Lori Ruff connection to Sheri Lynn Johnson (Denmar family) and San Angelo Doe...a man who could be father to Sheri Lynn.

    Cool beans!
Then just Jennifer Wictor and Kim Mallon please? hehe.
I'd do it myself, but I have no words for these things. And I don't know how to go about it. TIA

Given that LEK managed to pull all of this off and not getting caught until she basically decided to (keeping a box with all these documents at her house surely must've been a way of making sure that word got out after she was gone?) she must be quite smart. She seemed to have difficulties with people and socializing in general. This makes me think she had a disorder (is that the right term? English isn't my native language) of some kind (not the ADHD and Tourettes she was medicated for). I first thought of Asperger but people with Asperger are notoriously honest - something which LEK clearly wasn't. Anyone got any idea?

Furthermore, based on the fact that she spread out all over the westcoast, she obviously didn't want to be traced. She had a mail box in Nevada, lived in Texas, had something going on in California (based on the scribbles she made + the birth certificate of BST), had an ID card issued in Idaho, had some connection to Washington (did she actually go there? Or are we just assuming she did? I can't remember.) and some connection to Arizona as well (was that where she got her SSN?). I am thinking that none of these states are states which she originates from, but are near where she comes from, possibly to make her difficult to track.

Utah is close by and have a lot of mormons living there... Could she have been a run away? Other possibilites are Oregon and Montana. Being a runaway doesn't justify going through such trouble of changing her identity, though... I don't have a lot of knowledge about mormons or other religious movements, but I'd guess that they simply wouldn't care if you took off and left?
I would lean toward Oregon, the article stated that the news paper of the fire in 1971 I believe was posted in an Oregon Newspaper... so maybe her or the ID broker saw the story (since she was not very old, I am thinking the ID broker)

Am I correct seeing the "made up" number was traced to Mallon Oil (Denver), and then someone suggested LEKR could be a missing person with same last name (Kim Mallon)?? Spelling the same??
