Update from the FB page is that Erik was spotted yesterday (Sunday) near the Boise River in Atlanta, Idaho.

Searches are continuing and the command center is located at the corner of Hwy 21 and Federal Way in the Albertsons parking lot in Boise.

I have not seen anything in MSM but there is a post that he was located deceased on the event for search. https://www.facebook.com/events/279553508854451/ I would love to hear this is not true. I have been hoping for a different outcome all day!

Updating message on FB I'm so saddened by this! PTSD is the worst for soldiers and their loved ones!

It is with the greatest sadness of our life to have to share that our sweet boy spread his wings and flew to God's protective arms where the sun always shines and there is no pain. God keep my baby protected until we meet again.

God bless all our soldiers who give so much and ask for nothing in return. Save them all from the pain of war and bring them home to their families

Good night my angel I'll see you soon,

    Mommy

Why is there extensive decomposition if he was only dead like 24 hours?
And seriously? They called off the military search for safety reasons when they found out he was armed?
He wouldn't have hurt anyone else. That really bothers me.

Positive identification has not been made because of extensive decomposition of the body.

    -----------------------------

Two members of Jorgensen's unit searched for the missing man Friday at fishing and hiking spots he frequently visited. They did not locate any sign of him, Marsano said.

The members aborted their search Saturday when told Jorgensen was armed.
The guard pulled those members back, for safety reasons, after consulting with the Boise Police Department and a guard staff psychologist, Marsano said.

Keep thinking of Erik and his loved ones...

Someone very dear to my heart is only 2 years younger than Erik was and has been suffering after spending a year in Afghanistan as well. It's a tragedy.
