He was not wearing a shirt. He did not have a phone or ID on him.

Oh no! As a runner, the stories of missing runners always tug at me, especially if they go missing when running!

I hope he told someone his planned route and that he's just broken an ankle or something so he can't make it home. I think it would be unusual for a fit, 30something man to be abducted while running, but weirder things have happened.

Worries me too. Sometimes these turn out be hit and run- which is devastating. Chad has a wife and a young child at home.
    Just my opinion.

Be thankful for each day. Live in the moment.

He has a Nike+ profile under Chad Steward Rogers. Not sure if there is anyway to track him that way. I'm thinking he has a Fuel Band with GPS. Maybe Nike can locate him?

My sister in law is an avid runner and very close to Liberty. I'll send her the info.

My SIL indicated he's not the type that would just take off. I know this is all third hand. Mods...do I need to get verified as an insider?

In my experience, sometimes when you're a distance runner, you may not necessarily have a planned route per say. You may have a planned area or streets, trails, etc. that your frequent, but you may decide to take a turn here or run an extra mile down that way, just to swap up the scenery a little. This is especially true (at least for me) on longer runs. I know down to such-and-such street & back is three miles, so I may do that for my 3 mile runs just cause it's so simple and short. But a seven mile run....I may decide to turn a corner do & one mile of it down a street I don't usually run on, etc. to just so I don't have to see the same houses, etc over & over. I know that doesn't really help, but if anyone knows what routes he usually ran on, I hope they are also checking side streets and adjacent areas as well.

I see he had a Nike+ account. I wonder if he also had any type of GPS watch. I have a Garmin and you have to plug it in to your computer and upload your runs to your profile, but maybe there's some way for the company to look into their records to see where your GPS was locating you during the run. If so, that may also be an avenue to take.

Running with ID can be a real pain (most "running" clothes don't really have great pockets for IDs, IMO, if they have any pockets at all). If anyone out there is a runner, cyclist, or even walks around their neighborhood for exercise, I suggest a "Road ID" or "Sports ID" (of course, you also have to remember to wear it everytime). They are lightweight rubber bracelets (many look like the rubber bracelets for Livestrong and other causes) with a small, lightweight metal tag on them that you can personalize with your info.

    Jaykayelle,

Does your SIL know if he belongs to a running club in Liberty? If so, I'm betting that running club would pull together to get the word out and search for him.

News report on TV indicated he "lost his position as a youth minister in Jefferson City". I had previously read he left to be closer to home/relatives. Was something going on with this guy that is being kept from the public? I'm only asking out of interest in finding him. This case is very close to where I live.
