Accused Sex Offender Still Free
Three children - all 9 years old and younger -- say a teenager sexually molested them. In one case the charge is rape. Tonight the accused sex offender is still free. The parents of one of his alleged victims says that scares them.
In February the same 14 year-old boy did some time in detention for taking a gun to his high school. But there were problems before that. He was charged with running away, stealing a car, and burglarizing two homes. March 7th he was found incompetent to stand trial for those crimes. Found incompetent, in part, because he didn't understand the seriousness of the crimes. On March 25...the crimes got more serious..much more. Police charged him with raping a 5 year old boy last August, plus the sexual assault of a 6 year-old boy and a 9 year-old girl. She said she was 8 and he was 12 when it happened. Police caught up with him on the 31st. He spent a night in detention and was released the next day.

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?

And just why is he deemed incompetent? Because of his age or because he has a mental condition? Good lord...don't tell me this will be another one loose on the streets to rape and kill children?!!When the children cry let them know we tried 'Cause when the the children sing then the new world begins
