Thank you for keeping this thread updated CatFancier. You are a rockstar.

More than anything I just feel for her kids. I can tell from everything I've read about this that they have an uncle (and I'm sure other family) that will do anything to make sure they're safe and happy... but going through this at any age is just awful. No matter what happens they won't get their mom back, but hopefully her entire family will get the peace of mind that he won't ever do this again to another woman.
I brought a child into this dark world because it needed the light that only a child can bring.

Candles were lit as the Ark executive director, Terri Densman, read a short list of victims' names. A moment of silence concluded the event.

Some members of Brownwood's Air Evac lit their candles to honor their former coworker Amber Lowery, a Rising Star woman who was allegedly murdered by her abusive husband this past July.

"It's hard when you're on the outside looking in. Each one of us at one point or another talked to Amber and tried to help her the best we could," Amber's former coworker Bobby Brinson said. "Whether it's Brownwood, Brown County or surrounding areas, I think domestic abuse is a bigger problem than people know."

Authorities Didn't Inform Amber Lowery's Family of Postiively Identified Remains, Brother Speaks Out

Now they know for sure, it was his sister's body who was found on their ranch. Something Christensen, and his family, knew in their hearts when her remains were first found...

However, the positive I.D. is something the Comanche County authorities knew since last October. Christianson says after leaving several messages, he had to go to Comanchy County to find out.

"Next of kin should have been notified sooner than this, in my opinion."

    From Feb-

The court coordinator with the 220th District Court says Lowery's trial date is on the docket for February 24.

However, the district attorney's office and the district clerk have both told BCHP they do not expect the trial to begin that day.

Amber Lowery's family members have told BCHP they expect the trial to be pushed back to summer.

Details of witness testimony from the first two days of trial at link:

    http://www.bigcountryhomepage.com/st...Q0CAIIAiGBaDpQ

The prosecution released information regarding the discovery of Amber's remains and how they were identified. A burn pile was found on the Lowery's ranch outside of Comanche. Inside the burn pile were human remains of ribs, pieces of leg and other bones.

Due to the condition of the remains, Forensics had to take DNA samples from Amber's son and brother to confirm that they were hers...

Family members that took the stand confirm that Amber was scared and fearful for her life in the time leading up to her disappearance. They also say that she was planning on leaving Michael. Through text messages between Amber and Michael, Amber tells her husband that she is meeting with a divorce lawyer on July 25th. That was just days away before she went missing.

The state also called a doctor from the University of North Texas... The doctor revealed grueling evidence, saying that fracture spikes on the bones revealed that a saw was used to dismantle and discard these human remains. He also said that burn patterns on the bones revealed that they were burnt in fresh condition...

The prosecution had the court listen to portions of a 3-hour long interview between Michael and Texas Rangers... On the night Amber went missing, Michael says he was getting ready to go to work at the Gulf and he left their property at about 3:00 pm. He says he started getting angry text messages from Amber, so when he was about half way to his destination, he turned around and went back to the ranch.

Michael tells investigators that his wife was depressed and had postpartum depression. He also stated that she threatened to kill herself in the past. He said that because of her depression, Michael became worried after receiving text messages on his drive. He claims that is the reason he turned around and returned to the ranch.

David Lowery, Michael's brother, also took the stand Friday. David stated, "[Michael] told me I was the laughing stock of my family because I didn't control my wife."

He also testified that Michael Lowery had a history of being violent and controlling towards his wife. David stated that that he spoke to Amber back in 2009 after Michael hit her. In his testimony he read messages from Amber via Facebook saying "Life has been hell" and "I'm scared of him."
