Child Sex Trafficking Rescue: FBI Saves 105 Victims

The FBI has rescued 105 child sex-trafficking victims, FBI Assistant Director Ronald Hosko announced Monday.
The youngest of the rescued children was 9 years old, according to Reuters.

Operation Cross Country—a three-day nationwide enforcement action focusing on underage victims of prostitution—has concluded with the recovery of 105 sexually exploited children and the arrests of 150 pimps and other individuals.
The sweep took place in 76 cities and was carried out by the FBI in partnership with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) as part of the Bureau’s Innocence Lost National Initiative. It is the seventh and largest such enforcement action to date.

I hope at some point it is revealed where these children came from ,i.e are any of them listed as officially missing, or is this a case of parental knowledge or involvement.
    Just my opinion, of course.

Our news just said that most of the children came from foster care or were runaways. They also said that more than 100 of the 150 arrests were here in Wisconsin. That can't be right, can it?

The article at the msnbc link stated many of the kids were from foster homes. It makes you wonder how often foster children are reported missing or if their names just get lost in the system.

Glad they rescued these kids, I hope they do more of these stings.

They also used Backpage, a website that is used to sell girls for sex.
Yes! Finally! Would love for one of those rescued to be JaRay Wilson.

Sadly, I think 105 kids is just a drop in the bucket, but this is really great news.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice announced Monday that Wisconsin officials participated in a large-scale, FBI-led child sex trafficking operation that rescued 10 children.

The operation is known nationwide as Operation Cross Country VII, and the three-day operation in Wisconsin was conducted in the areas of Milwaukee, Madison, Wisconsin Dells and the Fox Valley, according to the release.

Officials said ten children were rescued, which is third in the nation, and 100 suspects were arrested in Wisconsin as part of the operation.

I didn't know that major sporting events were involved, they call them an "environment".

According to this it sounds like many of the kids were runaways.

Just when I think that I have seen the most depraved things a human can do to another human, somebody posts a new story...........

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?

I just read a post in one of the threads where a member asked if any of these kids are recovered! Wish I could remember who asked because here's the answer!

Do you guys think any of these kids are some of our missing we look for on WS?
