I couldn't locate a live stream or twitter link. Please post if one is located... thanks

Justice is coming Jonathan. You will not be forgotten.

I heard back from khous when I sent out emails last week and they said they would have someone following the trial and to contact them again on Tues. But... as we see, the trial has started today. I have emailed them back and asked for any live feed (I'm sure there isn't one, because no jury) or twitter link. If I get something I will post it here right away.

Salem

PS - if anyone has already found something, let me know.

Per Reporter Langlois at KHOU: TESTIMONY DOESN’T BEGIN UNTIL TUESDAY. THIS IS JUST PRE TRIAL MOTIONS BEING FILED TODAY.

I sent an e-mail to the Chronicle's city desk and they said Cindy Horswell would be covering it and will 'update for the web as warranted'.

Mona Nelson, accused of killing 12-year-old Jonathan Foster,
is in court for pretrial motions in her Capitol Murder case at
Harris County Crimminal Courthouse on Monday, August 12, 2013
in Houston.

The defense in a capital murder case on Monday asked a Houston judge to quash statements made by the woman accused of the kidnap-murder of a 12-year-old boy on Christmas Eve 2010, saying she was sick and exhausted after hours of interrogation.

The defendant, Mona Nelson, has taken the unusual step of having her capital murder case heard by a judge, not a jury. The trial opened Monday before Houston District Judge Jeannine Barr.

In court, Nelson's attorney, Allen Tanner, detailed how Houston police investigators questioned his client over a 17-hour period at police headquarters or her home where evidence was being collected before finally serving the woman with an arrest warrant in Jonathan Foster's death.

There will not be a "live stream" of this trial.

Trials in Houston, TX are rarely televised or "live streamed" like in FL (for example).

There is a media pool though like it was during the trials of Abigail Young and later Lucas Coe (Emma Thompson case).

The media will get their snippets of "live" video and pictures from the designated media pool photographer and camera "man."

As set by the presiding judge, the media pool has to follow certain guidelines as set by the Judge.

At a much later date (perhaps several months after the trial ends), one can go to the Harris County District Clerk's Office and read the transcript from this trial.

You can not "check the transcript out" like attorneys (defense & prosecution) involved in this case will be able to if Mona Nelson files an Appeal.

There is a designated area in the Harris County District Clerk's Office where transcripts can be reviewed/read by the general public. At this time, transcripts in State District courts (Harris County - Houston, TX) are not available to be read on-line; only in person

It was my intention to commute to Houston and attend every day of this trial and support justice for Jonathan Foster. The trial dates were changed several times over the past 3 years and I blocked that time to attend the trial.

Due to medical issues, now I can not attend the trial. I hope some one in the greater Houston area will attend the trial, take notes and share testimony with us. Media outlets have limited "air time" and printed space (as in newspapers) to cover the trial each day.

I wish this trial was being televised or "live streamed" on the computer.

Here's hoping someone at WS, living in the greater Houston area, will attend the trial and report about the testimony, etc. . . . . .

Harmony and Salem:

I don't know if you have a certain page or thread to put media Links for this trial but I would like to share Links to the Homepage of the primary Houston media outlets who will be covering this trial. Most "live stream" their News - CDT (Central Daylight Time).

Updates are usually reported at 11 a.m, 12 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. News (TV) and various times on-line. All are CDT.

The early morning news reports (usually starting at 4 a.m or 4:30 a.m.) are usually from the 10 p.m. News.

I don't have time to post all of the "Live Stream" Links for each media outlet but one can find it on the Homepage (if it is "live streamed").

There are also phone apps available.

For those not familiar with Houston, it is a huge metroplex.

Story headlines on the media outlets' homepage change constantly and sometimes rapidly. If you do not see an article and/or video about the Mona Nelson trial, please type "Mona Nelson trial" in the 'Search Box' of the Homepage.

I hope the above info will be helpful to those who would like to follow the primary Houston media re the Mona Nelson trial.

Awesome awesome work, Ann-TX. I'm disappointed for you (and me). I wanted to attend the trial, too, but it's out of the question because of my logistics.

You dug up some fantastic info. I appreciate it. That's good to know in general -- not for just this trial.

Hoping someone local steps up to review those transcripts!!!

Are there any reporters in the courtroom who are tweeting the trial?
