Jaelyn's grandparents reported that she had been taken from their residence by Shemeka Denise Johnson, the girl's mother, on August 5, 2013.
Jaelyn's grandparents have custody of her.

They were able to get in contact with Shemeka on August 8, but Shemeka refused to tell them where Jaelyn was.

It is believed that Shemeka is staying with friend in the Killeen area.

    So she disappeared the 5th.
They last talked to Mom on the 8th.
The filed the report on the 9th.

WHY the delay? If they have custody they must know whether she is a danger or not?
I'm going to waiting 4 days to report it as a hopeful sign that they didn't believe Mom was dangerous.
