Texas Equusearch, a mounted search and recovery team known for trying to locate the body of Casey Anthony’s daughter and for helping search for a missing Fairfield, Ohio, woman, has agreed to help search for Ward-Romine’s body, her father said. The company confirmed Monday they have been in contact with Ward-Romine’s family but did not release further details on the search. Amanda Romine was reported missing last summer, and family members hold onto memories of July 4, 2013, the last time they saw her alive...

“I feel it’s something very bad, and we don’t know what’s happened to her. Because I just can’t see her being gone for a year, and no contact., nothing to with anyone. I can’t see it out of her.”

A vigil will be held Sunday, July 6 in downtown Springfield.

“There’s just so many stories going on out there, and the only story that seems to ever stick is that she’s not alive,” Lindsey said.

Lindsey said Ward-Romine was staying in her Indian Lake home but left July 5 to go back to live with her husband at their Avondale Avenue home. On July 6, Lindsey said Ward-Romine called her and asked if she could pick her up on Sunday. That was their last conversation.

Friends and family released balloons Sunday evening in Amanda’s memory. They gathered in downtown Springfield to share stories, memories and remind people that Amanda is still out there somewhere.

The family has a renewed sense of hope after word that the Cue Center for Missing Persons is compiling information for a search in the near future. Members of the group were at the vigil conducting interviews.

Romine was a person of interest in the disappearance of his wife, Amanda Ward-Romine. Ward-Romine was last seen July 7, 2013, in the 300 block of Buxton Avenue.

Authorities say Danny Romine has never cooperated with the investigation. Springfield Police and state investigators searched his home in January, looking for evidence related to Ward-Romine’s case.

Police believe Danny Romine died from a mixture of medical issues and substance abuse, but are waiting for official results from the coroner’s office.

He says the couple was married for a year and had a history of domestic violence. Since Daniel was found dead inside his home Sunday, Sgt. Flores says Amanda’s case is now taking a turn.

“The intimidation factor. The fear of retaliation might not be there like it was previously,” said Sgt. Flores.

Right now, it’s still classified as a missing persons, but with evidence and information we received it looks as if it’s a homicide,” said Sgt. Flores.

Sgt. Flores says tips have led investigators across Ohio and to surrounding states. He says people who know something need to step up.

“I know there are people out there that know, they know where she is at. Gut instinct tells me there are people out there,” said Sgt. Flores.
