Please continue here and remember the rules. You can find them right here: The Rules - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community AND don't overlook these!!!!

Victim Friendly

Websleuths is a victim friendly forum. Attacking or bashing a victim is not allowed. Discussing victim behavior, good or bad is fine, but do so in a civl and constructive way and ONLY IF IT IS RELEVANT TO THE CASE. Additionally, sleuthing family members that are not suspect is not allowed. Don't make random accusations or post personal information (even if it is public) like parking tickets, address, or first and last names of all their relatives and their neighbors. Also, never "bash" or attack them, or accuse them of involvement. However that does not mean that family members cannot come into discussion as the facts and issues of the case are discussed.

Social Networks

Regarding Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and other social networking or blog websites: Links may be used to direct posters to view something on a social networking page. But postings on social networking sites are not considered fact; they are rumor. Copying and pasting, or taking screen caps, directly from these pages is not allowed. Paraphrasing is okay. (Exception: If the Twitter or Facebook post belongs to a verified news station, it may be copied. But a link should still be provided.)

Also, social networking pages may only be linked if they are directly related to a case, i.e. the victim or suspect. We don't want to post to someone's mother, brother, employer, milkman, or postal carrier just because they know the main player. We also NEVER link to minor's pages (unless they are the victim). And be sure that the page actually belongs to the person being discussed. Do not link to someone if you are not 100% sure it is the correct person. And if a social networking is set to private and you get in the back way, you may not post what you find. Private means private!

MINORS: Websleuths.com™ does not allow the naming of, or photographs of, minors (children under the age of 18) on the Site unless the child is a missing or deceased person or where law enforcement has identified the minor as a perpetrator of a crime and the minor will be tried as an adult. If a missing child is found and it is learned that such minor was the victim of child exploitation, references to the child’s name and likeness will be removed, and further posting of such information will not be allowed.

Thanks,

Cat

For whoever it was in the last thread that keeps saying IM said something to the effect of "what time is dad coming" and thought the wording was strange....that is because the actual wording was "the kids keep asking when Rob is coming home and I dont know what to tell them" which IMO, there is nothing odd or suspicious about that. If I were in same circumstance, after a while, I wouldnt know what. To say to kids either, especially if I didnt have any answers myself. No great mystery there IMO

To answer the question from curiousNY in thread #4, yes, per the timeline in the files section on the FB page, at 6:30 pm, IM called her brother in law and a friend who are both police. The brother in law arrived at 10:00 pm and started calling police stations, hospitals, etc.

Is it just me or does anyone find it odd that she was worried already by 630pm? I know she figured he would get off early but with all that needed to be done for weekend, myself, I wouldnt have thought twice about it until maybe 8pm and then start worrying.

Another thought. Did we just assume he sold something to the scrap yard? Is it possible he bought something? Do they sell anything?

My husband is a creature of habit. I generally have an idea where he is and if he was almost 4 hours late coming home, I would be worried. Especially if I had law enforcement in the family, I would call them. Just like I call my sister, the nurse when someone is sick.

A big debate on FB resulting in the info, if only a rumor, that the missing bike is green and apparently still missing...FWIW. Excuse me while I revive my brain after reading that page for a while, lol.

If she expected him around 3ish, or 4:00 even, and couldn't get through to him on the phone - I think it makes sense that she would be worrying at 6:30. JMO

Then IMO RM really must be the homebody she says he is because if she was already worried by 630pm, she wouldnt already be calling family and friends if he had a tendency to have a few beers after work with the guys.....IMO this makes the theory of him walking out a bit far fetched as he would have shown signs of distancing himself from her before he left.. ie going out with the guys, or doing it more, other "excuses" to be away from the house. jMO

This case is so perplexing to say the least. I don't know what to think anymore. There are very little facts. However, I feel there is much more to this story than we are being told. It's hard for me to believe that no one saw this man. This disappearance is way to clean. Is anyone thinking differently?

I agree. Unfortunately I think LE has to keep some things to protect the integrity of the investigation.

IM posted on facebook a few minutes ago, LE still has the car and they will not release it yet. She is not sure why.

Wouldn't they give her the answer if she asked them why they aren't releasing it? What exact excuse did they give? Something sounds fishy, perhaps LE is on to something.

I keep coming back to this case because it is so perplexing and I can't quite put my finger on why that is. Lots of strange things going on with this one.

Seemingly happy family man disappears off the face of the planet without a trace. No enemies, no gambling problem, no drug/alcohol problem, happily married, good job, brotherhood. So on and so forth.

Something in there doesn't add up, but I can't figure out what it is.

If it were my husband, I would be at the police station every single day pouncing on desks and having fits. They would move evidence to the front of the line just to get rid of the crazy lady.

Why would it be odd?? If anything, it might be odd if she wasn't worried until then. But she noticed he wasn't home by I believe 4 (I think it's when she returned home) and started calling his phone and around to family and friends. If he was a creature of habit, he might have been home watching tv, working in the garage or whatever. I think she got home and knew immediately something wasn't right. Because she knows her husband and cared enough to take notice.

Robert is a handsome man with such a pleasant face.

I hope he is alive, well, and happy.
