The mother of a teenage boy missing for more than a week remains heartbroken as she awaits the outcome of an autopsy performed on the body of a man found burning Wednesday, she said.

19-year-old Bryce Laspisa is a Laguna Niguel teen missing for several days whose vehicle was found abandoned in the Castaic Lake. While searching in the area Tuesday for his son, the missing man's father, Mike, became the victim of a car burglary, which resulted in a pursuit and arrest.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The family of a missing Orange County college student is holding out hope as the search extends to Oregon.
Surely Bryce must know of the search for him by now?

A search for Bryce Laspisa, a missing teen from Orange County, is planned for this weekend, according to a statement from KlaasKids Foundation.

For the past 49 days, family, friends and strangers have been searching for Bryce Laspisa. They have conducted several volunteer searches all around Castaic Lake and have followed up on possible sightings.

The family of a 19-year-old college student last seen in August of last year, plans to hold a vigil Friday — the six month anniversary of his disappearance — in three places that meant something to him.
Vigils for Bryce Laspisa will be held in two California cities — Valencia and Rocklin — as well as Naperville, Illinois.
