    CANADA - Man calls police, says he wants to kidnap female neighbour BC

    A disturbing call to police in New Westminster, B.C., has prompted an alert to residents in hopes they recognize the voice of a man who told police he was going to kidnap a woman.

    Right after reading the headline... I thought there was a possibility that a potential perp was making a call to emergency as a cry for help.... Hoping there would be LE intervention before he harmed the gal...

    Now I am thinking more along the lines as the perp enjoying the teasing of LE...

    Or.... Maybe it is a joke.... a very sick joke...

    I hope LE is taking this call very seriously...

    better safe than sorry....

    Why can't the call be traced? Shouldn't that be a simple thing to do in this circumstance?
