And then there's this crazy story out of the Bay area:

http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/09/12/california.death.investigation/index.html

"(CNN) -- Police in California have found a plastic-wrapped body that might be tied to a bizarre saga involving several homicides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The body of Frederick Sales, 35, was found bound in plastic and hidden in a closet of a home, the Hercules Police Department said in a statement Saturday. Sales' cause of death had not been determined.
On August 28, Sales' father, 73-year-old Ricardo Sales, was found bludgeoned to death with multiple puncture wounds in the same home, police said. At that time, the younger Sales was reported missing.
An arrest warrant was issued for Efren Valdemoro after information came to light that he had an altercation with the elder Sales and his son the previous week, authorities said.
Valdemoro was killed in a shootout with California Highway Patrol officers August 31, authorities said.
He was also a person of interest in the killings of two elderly women in Vallejo, California. The women were last seen August 25, according to a statement from the Vallejo police.
Police in Vallejo secured a house in which the bodies of two elderly women were found, along with a large amount of explosive materials, federal and local authorities said.
Valdemoro is believed to have been associated with both women, Vallejo police have said.
After he was killed in a shootout with California Highway Patrol officers, officials said they found the body of Cindy Tran, Valdemoro's girlfriend, in the trunk of Valdemoro's vehicle."

Investigators look over the scene where a body was found in a bag Thursday… (Steve McCrank / Associated…)
A body found wrapped in a pink plastic bag in a Manhattan Beach park was probably placed there within the last nine days, officials said Friday.

City workers moving piles of manure onto a truck discovered the partially decomposed body about 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

The manure pile was delivered to a corner of Polliwog Park near a baseball diamond nine days ago, said homicide Lt. Dave Coleman of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department."

I hope it was the sticky side dwn saran wrap; prints latent will be all over it.

Looks like this doesn't have anything to do with a serial killer, then.

You know, I never thought of that! It would lift a print like magic - unless the perp wore gloves... I'm
Hoping he's got sticky fingers.

I don't see a relationship between these murders other than the use of plastic to hide or dispose of the bodies, and there is nothing extraordinary about that.

1. Vista, CA -- Kirk Stapleton arrested for the murder of Juanita Kawash,a woman with whom he was in a "romantic relationship".

3. July 12, 2013, Manhattan Beach, CA -- A body was found in a pink plastic bag. "The Los Angeles County coroner’s office said the body appears to belong to a young, Latino male."

What I do find peculiar is a "pink" plastic bag. I've never seen a pink plastic trash bag. If they exist, I'm going to guess they're used for a specific purpose, or by a particular industry. The other thing that comes to mind is the kind of packaging clothing stores use for hanging garments. Generally, the store's name is printed on the bag. Either of those could be a clue to finding the killer.

The "pink bag" also reminds me of the bags we receive to place clothing/items we want to give to charity ... And the trucks come by our house to pick them up at a pre-arranged time...

they are pretty large bags... But not large enough to hold a "whole" body...

Just some thoughts...
