    From live report:

Still searching, dozens of volunteers waiting to help.
Dozens might not be accurate, it looks like more than that.
People on foot, helicopters and K9's.

Update from Sheriff's Department in the next 10 minutes.

I do hope Ben is found soon! My 12yo son and I were watching TV (40 miles from Ben's original location) when we got the Amber Alert on Comcast. The look on my son's face both terrified me and made me sigh in relief at the same time. DS finally gets why I won't let him 'just ride his bike around the block' or why I won't 'just let him ride two streets over to visit his friend', the world is not a safe place for our children anymore... period, even in a neighborhood your father (as my son's did) grew up in. It is not safe ANYWHERE anymore!

My prayers are with this family tonight. I do hope this young boy just wandered off, or 'ran away'. Anything more breaks my heart.

LE has checked surveillance tapes that were available. Dogs are out. Many trails around. Will let people know if more volunteers are needed. People are providing food, water, whatever is needed.

Your son is as safe as he would have been in the 1950's, when kids rode bikes around their neighborhoods.

Violent crime has not risen against strangers since then. Your son is as safe as you were, in the "good old days". The only thing that has changed is our obsession with crime, and our access to news stories.

So sad that your son is terrified. There is really NO NEED for him to be. Stranger abductions are excessively rare.

Low tonight is supposed to be 60+ degrees, that's a good thing.
Mid 80's tomorrow with possible rain. Also a good thing.
    Very moderate weather and temperatures.
