Maryland State Police say they are looking for the vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run crash that left an 18-year-old critically injured.

State Police say troopers were called to the intersection of Liberty and Ridges roads in Taylorsville after receiving reports of a collision involving a pedestrian around 11:40 p.m. Saturday.

family did not give up and driver was arrested



A female was arrested in New Jersey for allegedly hitting an 18-year-old pedestrian in Taylorsville and then fleeing the scene, according to police.

Tania I. Brown, of Augusta, W.Va., was served with a warrant and police are awaiting extradition to Maryland at this time, according to a prepared release issued by the Maryland State Police on Friday.

he is still in shock trauma hospital right now, they are trying to get him moved to the therapy hospital but his fever has to get under control first, they have him listed in serious condition. it's been a long three weeks for the family.

My friend puts regular updates on this page for Michael.

47 years old. For some reason I had assumed the driver was young.

She's old enough to not panic and flee the scene of an accident unless of course she was doing something wrong, such as being under the influence.

Heck, even my 18 year old nephew, who WAS under the influence, still stopped when he hit someone.

There is NO excuse for a 47 year old to not stop. None.
 
I saw this in another thread. I cannot view anything on that newspapers site. And the FB only has links to the same. Is is ok to post the driver's name ?

At any rate,finally tried the link with IE (normally use FF). It worked fine with IE,
 
wow, it amazes me when the people who flee get caught... my bro was killed on a motorcyle - hit and run - (by a bus in Mexico) and the driver was never caught, let alone pursued.

Sad that this young man has a long road to recovery, but so great to hear the woman who caused all this has been caught and will have to deal with the consequences of her actions and inactions. Gentle thoughts as he recovers.
