The FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit put together a profile of the serial rapist being searched for in Omaha. The FBI said this man may appear normal and non-threatening, but he's extremely dangerous.
The FBI and Omaha police are looking for a black man, between 25 and 45 years old, who's about 5 feet 6 inches tall. He's stocky with a large stomach. Police said he's probably carrying a bag with a mask, gloves and the material he uses to tie up his victims.
The FBI is trying new ways to catch him. Billboards went up last week, 14 in all, scattered through northeast and northwest Omaha. The agencies are offering a $22,000 reward for information on the rapist, $10,000 of that is coming from the FBI.
"We want to bring as much money to the table to solicit as many leads as possible," said Paul Lacotti of the FBI.
Lacotti said a FBI analysis unit out of Virginia put together a profile of the serial rapist.
The rapist, according to their profile, has a good working knowledge of the neighborhoods where his victims lived. He watches the women before the attacks. He may peep in the windows, prowl around the house, and he may break in.
The FBI said if he's confronted, he might provide a logical, believable explanation for being there.
