Waterloo Regional Police say the woman who was found dead in a Kitchener park on Friday was murdered.
She’s been identified as 55-year-old Mary Anne May of Kitchener.
A man walking his dog in a park near Tyson Drive, in the Bridgeport area, found her body near the Grand River just after 7:30 a.m.

Waterloo Regional Police went door-to-door in a north Kitchener neighbourhood Tuesday, hoping someone would have information that would help them solve the murder of Mary-Anne May.
“We are canvassing neighbours in the area for any information that they may have about any suspicious activity that they may have seen in the last few days,” police spokesperson Olaf Heinzel tells CTV News.
The body of May, 55, was discovered last Friday morning along the banks of the Grand River near Tyson Park in Kitchener’s Bridgeport neighbourhood.

Maybe someone from the Kitchener area can confirm for me that Mary-Anne's body was found near the Walter Bean Trail along the Grand River? It appears to me that it must have been... and Erin Howlett's body was found near that trail near Riverbend Drive. Not knowing the exact locations of the bodies, I did a general search for distance from Tyson to Riverbend - got about 1.5 km, or 2 minute drive. Interesting.

rest peacefully Mary-Anne ... may justice be swift

As a frequent cyclist on the Walter Bean and Grand River Trails, GT, I can tell you that actually, the trail off of Tyson Drive, where Mary-Anne May's body was found, is on the east side of the Grand River. The Walter Bean Trail runs along the west side of the river.

HTH. I wonder if more than coincidence applies to the Howlett and May killings/discoveries.

Just wanted to add, that the location where the body was discovered is actually colloquially known as "the Bridgeport Dike" - the trail is elevated along an area that was apparently severely flooded by the Grand River some time ago.

Waterloo Regional Police say a missing bike stroller could help solve the suspicious death of Mary Anne May.

“New information that came into the investigation led police back to the apartment.”

Police released a photo of the stroller Monday, saying it had gone missing from the area of May’s residence – near Margaret Avenue and Guelph Street in Kitchener – shortly after her death.
Several calls were made to police by citizens who spotted similar strollers.
One stroller was seized by police Monday evening outside a plaza at Weber Street and Bridgeport Road in Waterloo.
“We believe that the stroller holds some important clues,” police spokesperson Olaf Heinzel tells CTV News.

Sounding more and more as though Mary-Anne was killed in her apartment... LE spent weekend there collecting evidence, after receiving new information. She had a room mate, though not much has been said about him other than that he was not her boyfriend, I believe. Let's hope that finding this stroller provides LE the evidence they need to lay some charges.

Praying she receives the justice she deserves.

One is facing charges of second-degree murder and committing an indignity to a dead body, while the second will be charged with accessory to murder after the fact and – in an unrelated incident – carrying a concealed weapon.
Both are adult men from Kitchener, and both will be formally charged Tuesday morning in a Kitchener court, at which time their names will be made public.

Proof, I guess, that when LE is silent, they might well still be hard at work.

Kevin Koehlor, 49, is charged with second-degree murder and indignity to a human body.

John Gallagher, 43, faces one count of accessory to murder after the fact and an unrelated charge of carrying a concealed weapon.

The two Kitchener men, who are scheduled to make court appearances Wednesday, were arrested without incident Tuesday.

Police said both men were known to May, 55, and no further arrests are expected in connection with the case.

I do not recall if the roommate's name was ever released? or the boyfriend's? Wonder how Mary-Anne was connected to these two?

RIP, Mary-Anne - one step closer to justice.

12 years? So sad. We need tougher sentences!!!
