#BREAKING: Dozens of police officers are armed and ready to raid a Bandidos clubhouse at Montague Road in West End #9NEWSat6

So glad Qld Police and the state government are continuing to show the bikies they don't run Queensland. I have a feeling there was a threat against either government departments and/or politicians today, as they apparently increased security and the commissioner wouldn't answer questions on the supposed threats.

They've apparently got the bearcat (armoured vehicle) ready to go and about 70 police on Montague Rd.

Up to 100 police have surrounded a Bandidos bikie clubhouse off Montague Road and cordoned off parts of West End.

Local residents report "hundreds" of heavily-armed police are being briefed on the old School of Distance Education site on Montague Road.

Detectives and heavily armed SERT officers are also on the scene.

"There's one big group of say 50 or 60 police – detectives, armed police on Montague Road," one local resident said.

Letting down all their bike tyres clearly hasn't worked...

Seriously, though. There'll be a big kerfuffle, and by next week it'll be business as usual.

Kind of laughable the events of last night. Such a huge use of resources, but such a little outcome.

I think the police are underestimating the 'organised' part of bikie gangs. Surely they could have carried out this operation more tactically. It's clear that the Bandidos knew what was going down, and just didn't turn up at their clubhouse.

I have faith the police are going to keep going at them, but they are going to need to step up their game if they are going to make headway.

Hey if WE knew about the raid before it happened, what are the chances the Bandidos also did?

The channel 9 chopper was probably circling all day.
