Just when I think that I have seen the most depraved things a human can do to another human, somebody posts a new story...........

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?

The links for the previous posts do not work anymore. Based on the location of the remains posted by mysteriew, I believe this is the same UID.

CREVE COEUR -- The parents of Karen D. Cage, who went missing in 2003, say they are "devastated" by the news that the woman's skeleton found April 11 in Creve Coeur has been confirmed as that of their missing daughter.

"The coroner was notified at approximately 1 p.m. by the Illinois State Police that DNA proved the remains to be those of Karen D. Hobdy (Cage)," Conover said in a press release.

PEKIN - An inquest into the death of a Creve Coeur woman who was missing for 18 months resulted in more questions than answers for jurors. After 45 minutes of testimony from an Illinois State Police investigator and the father of the missing woman, jurors deemed the death of Karen Cage Hobdy, 46, undetermined and asked the Tazewell County Coroner's office leave the case open so the investigation into her death will continue.
