    UK - Gianni Sonvico, 23, London, 25 Oct 2013

This guy is all over my facebook newsfeed:

Gianni Sonvico, 23 (23.05.90) of Islington was last seen at 21.30hrs that evening in the EC4 area of the City of London.

Mr Sonvico is a white male. He was last seen wearing a black suit and purple shirt. His disappearance is completely out of character.

Per the below facebook missing poster, he's 5' 8" and 120 lbs and was last seen wearing a black suit and a white shirt and tie. Query the white v. purple shirt descriptions?

Here's a video appeal from his sister, Maya. He was apparently last seen leaving the Tower Hill tube station in London around 10:15 pm. He had come from a dinner at Middle Temple and apparently told his friends that he was headed home to the Arsenal area.

There are lots of tweets about him under the hashtag #FindGianni. His personal twitter can be found here: https://twitter.com/GianniSonvico. Last tweet is actually about heading to the dinner that he disappeared after: "About to head into Middle Temple for the first time since Call. I definitely feel far more of a member than I did as a student."

Some tweets are specifying the time he was last seen as 10:14 exactly, so I wonder if he was caught on CCTV leaving the tube station.

ETA: I think that's right as the sister (@MAYAWonTheWorld) is now reporting that "Gianni Sonvico last seen on Lower Thames Street around 22:30 on 25/10. Any information may be vital. #findgianni", so they may have traced him a bit further on camera. Unfortunately, that means that after leaving Tower Hill station, he walked towards the river... which always makes me nervous. Temple dinners are notoriously drunken affairs, but I have no idea about that particular one or what state he was in. Unclear why he was exiting the tube at Tower Hill (having gotten on perhaps at Temple?) if he was heading to the Islington/Arsenal area.

Here's his facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/gianni.sonvico?fref=ts and here's his LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/gianni-sonvico/54/628/253

He had just been called to the Bar at Middle Temple (July 2013) and begun a job as a research assistant at the Law Commission in the criminal law section (having failed to get pupillage on his first attempt).

He seems to be Welsh originally (Welsh high school), but was at Queen Mary, University of London for Undergrad, so has been in London for awhile.

I hope he's found soon. It seems from his tweets that he had a lot of responsibility and pressure at work, but he said he was relishing it. So I'm not sure whether to think that had anything to do with his disappearance. If he said he was dreading it that would be another matter.

    From the Western Telegraph.

Not much added, confirmation of a purple shirt and the last time he was seen. His mum has travelled from Wales to London to help search for him.

A little more information here: http://thestudentlawyer.com/2013/10/...ianni-sonvico/

"Gianni Sonvico — newly qualified barrister, 23, went missing on Friday, 25th October leaving Tower Hill Station at 22.14

Earlier in the night, he had left a work’s do with the Law Commission at Middle Temple at 21.43 after telling friends that he was getting a bus home to Arsenal.

Police have confirmed with CCTV evidence that he tapped in on the route 15 bus at 22.07 and then again tapped in at Monument station at 22.09."

I'm not sure how this fits in with the Lower Thames Road sighting -- I assume this just isn't as up to date.

Weird that he got on a bus at 10:07 and then on a train 2 minutes later; can't help but think one of those times is off a few minutes as, even at that time of night, I'd think it would take more than 2 minutes to get on the bus/have even a short ride/get to the gate at the tube. Only other possibility is that he got on the bus and then immediately changed his mind; if so, why?

Looking at the bus route, assuming his route made sense (and he didn't just abruptly change his mind), I assume he got on it somewhere near Mansion House and took it to Monument. From Monument, I would have thought that he'd have gotten on the Northern line to go to Angel or to switch at King's Cross for the Piccadilly (to Arsenal) or the Victoria (to Highbury & Islington) depending on where in Islington he lives. Instead, he took the District or Circle line one stop to Tower Hill. That doesn't make any sense in terms of his supposed destination (Islington); it also doesn't make any sense insofar as the bus he was on also stops at Tower Hill and would probably have been quicker (and certainly cheaper) than switching to the tube, if that was his intended destination.

Perhaps he got on the wrong train by accident? It would explain why he got off after only one stop... It would also suggest (along with his decision not to simply stay on the Circle Line to King's Cross, where he could switch to any of the 3 trains to Islington, and/or take the District Line back one stop to Monument and then get on the right train) that he may have been intoxicated? If he didn't get on the wrong train by mistake, then he must have changed his intended destination after he spoke to his friends...

    Here's another article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-s...wales-24733082

No new information (and even slightly outdated information), but getting the story picked up by the BBC is great for the family in terms of exposure.

A rudimentary case map for Gianni: http://goo.gl/maps/0c617

I’ll update when/if new information becomes available (or if there are any glaring howlers).
