Canada - Jehangir Balsara, 67, Kanata ON, 4 Nov 2013

    http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa...-man-1.2419401

"Man said he'd be home in 10 minutes

Balsara left his Kanata home on Monday, according to a family member, and he was reached on the phone while out. He had said he was going to return home within 10 minutes, but never made it.

Balsara, a self-employed accountant, is described as an East Indian man, standing about six feet one inch tall with a heavier build. He has balding hair with a salt-and-pepper colour.

Police said he was last seen wearing a blue dress shirt, dark coloured pants and a blue windbreaker with a sailboat logo on the left breast of the jacket.

Balsara's family said this is out of character and that he does not suffer from health problems. They also said there has been no activity on his bank card and that his cellphone goes straight to voicemail"

OH dear. I am from Ottawa (just across the river in quebec) and that is a really odd spot to find an abandoned car. Praying for him and his family. It doesn't sound good and yet if it was a suicide, i don't see saying I will be home in 10 minutes. Generally people try to give themselves more time.

Balsara planned to go to the Hogs Back area to meet a client, but he never made it to the appointment.

Simms-Karp, said family members tried calling his cellphone when he didn’t return home, but it went right to voice mail.

Balsara’s three grown children, his wife and other relatives have joined the police in their search for clues.

Balsara’s family discovered he withdrew $200 from his bank account when he ran errands earlier Monday morning.

Simms-Karp said the withdrawal was unusual because Balsara normally didn’t carry cash in his wallet.

What the money was for and why Balsara never reached his client is unknown
    .

Balsara’s family said they don’t believe he suffered from a mental illness. As far as they knew, he was healthy and happy.

“He doesn’t go more than a couple of hours without checking in,” Simms-Karp said. “We’re all quite close."
