CA - Four Charged in Kidnap, Torture & Mutilation of Med Marijuana Shop Owner
Authorities allege that several suspects carried out an elaborate plot that involved cutting off the penis of a medical marijuana dispensary owner in hopes that he would tell them where he buried bags of cash.
The alleged plot came to light on Friday. Authorities said DNA evidence and "extensive" investigation led to a break in the case.
Two men and a woman were arrested on kidnapping and torture charges for burning the owner of a lucrative medical marijuana dispensary and mutilating him.
Ryan Kevorkian, 34, and Naomi Kevorkian, 33, were arrested Friday in Fresno; a third suspect, Hossein Nayeri, 34, was arrested Thursday by FBI agents in Prague and will face extradition proceedings.

Omg that is insane!
11-12-2013, 09:52 PM #4The crime allegedly took place in October 2012, when the victim, the owner of a "lucrative" medical marijuana dispensary in Orange County--authorities aren't releasing his name or that of his dispensary because of the nature of the crime--took several marijuana growers to "an extravagant and expensive weekend" in Las Vegas. One of those growers is Kyle Shirakawa Handley, who was arrested in October 2012 for what happened next. He is alleged to have told the three defendants arrested this week--Ryan Anthony Kervorkian, Naomi Josette Kervorkian, and Hossein Nayeri--that the owner was extremely rich. The defendants then surveilled the owner for several weeks, noting that he was taking numerous trips to the desert. They believed that, like Walter White, he'd buried a large amount of cash in the desert.
This set in motion a horrific series of events. Read on at your own peril.

From September 2014:
A man arrested in the Czech Republic and accused of torturing a medical marijuana dispensary owner is back in Southern California to face trial.
Orange County prosecutors say 35-year-old Hossein Nayeri was extradited from Prague this week. He's scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on multiple counts of kidnapping for ransom, aggravated mayhem, torture and burglary.
Nayeri is one of four people accused of attacking the victim at his Newport Beach home and torturing him as they drove him to a desert spot where they believed he had buried cash. Prosecutors alleged they cut off the victim's penis and drove away with the penis so that it couldn't be reattached. The man survived his injuries.

WHEN three inmates broke out of a Californian prison on January 22, the fears of police and the local community were focused on one inmate in particular: Hossein Nayeri.
The ex-marine of Iranian descent was believed to be the mastermind behind the jailbreak and no one was more terrified by his unexpected freedom than his former wife, 29-year-old Cortney Shegerian.
After being implicated in a kidnapping and torture plot carried out by her then husband, she agreed to help police in an elaborate plan to lure him from Iran to a country where US officials could ensnare him...

I guess legalizing marijuana for medical reasons is not helping to lower drug related crime in California?? What a mess."If you are lucky enough to find a way of life you love, you have to find the courage to live it."
