Thanks to mikkismom for the article!

Amber Alert Program could have made finding Asotin girl possible in 1979

Nearly 34 years ago, a young Asotin girl went missing. We still don't know what happened to Christina White, but we've learned important lessons since 1979 to help recover other missing kids.

It would be nice to think an Amber Alert might have saved this child but considering the Serial Killer who took her I doubt it.
Christrina's family has been without her all these years and her killer is a free man.
Its heart breaking.

This is the original information about Christina White http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/w/white_christina.html

I have been searching the online databases in my free time and came across someone that I think could possibly be her. While Christina went missing in Washington and this young lady was found in California...it might not be possible. I'm putting it out there none the less and maybe even if this isn't her it can lead to possibly finding her.

Could this be her?

Claire NC,
When talking about POI's on here how do I go about that? That is the reason I thought the Cali girl could be Christina White, but I didn't know how to properly address that on here.

Interesting that a person of interest has been known for years in the disapperance of Christina White and the murders or others in the small town. All of these people were linked directly to this man. This same man is now awaiting trial in a DP case wherein he allegedly brutally raped and murdered a little girl named Christina Tedder in 2004. Please note the extreme similarities in the names of the girls in these cases.

Every spring the Valley filled with excitement in anticipation of the Asotin County Fair, which was held on the Snake River just north of both cities. Everyone who possibly could attended. It was April 28, 1979. I was there. So was Christina White, a 12-year-old child.

Yes there is some links in the names there. The links were interesting to read but also sad. I hope if he did do this, which I don't know that he did or not...I hope he confesses if he did. This would give the parents still waiting for answers some kind of solace. I can't help but agree with Mrs. Tedder though, there is a reason there is the death sentence out there.

Sad to hear that her mom passed away before finding out what happened to her daughter.

Also distressing to read that the man potentially responsible for these unsolved murders has been free for all of these years. The evidence presented in that blog does make a decent case against LJV for being responsible for Christina's disappearance.

38 years later, a look into the Christina White disappearance

http://klewtv.com/news/local/38-years-later-a-look-into-the-christina-white-disappearance

This week marks 38 years since a 12-year-old girl vanished from Asotin, without a trace, but this cold case is still very much active. On April 28th 1979, Christina White disappeared. Her family, the community, and law enforcement searched, but to date have never found any answers why a young vibrant girl suddenly went missing, but there’s a detective who won't let this case be forgotten.

Detective Nichols refuses to let Christina's memory fade, "I have her picture up there just to kind of always remind me because it is a cold case, it's easy to let those cases get pushed aside, and I just don't want them to be forgotten."

There are no answers, but there are clues, and those clues point to a possible connection with murders across the river... in Lewiston.

Detective Nichols said, "They realized perhaps this person was responsible not only for the three people in Lewiston but also Christina white's disappearance."

"It was Christina White's mother... that told us the suspects name,” said Gloria Bobertz.

That is only the beginning. Detective Nichols believes, Christina White's disappearance may be connected to two murders, and a disappearance that happened a few years later.

Part two of... “Where is Christina White?” is coming up tomorrow.
