DA takes tough stance against failure to report alleged child abuse

Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson pledged Friday to prosecute adults who keep quiet about suspected child abuse after filing charges against a teacher and three administrators from Sharpstown High School.

The teacher, Ysidoro Rosales-Motola, was arrested later Friday at a motel on the Katy Freeway after a warrant had been issued for his arrest on three felony charges, accusing him of inappropriately touching at least three male students at school, according to authorities.

A Houston Police Department spokesman said the 56-year-old Spanish teacher complained of chest pains after his arrest so he was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital. He is expected to be booked in jail after doctors release him.

This got shades of Penn State with Jerry Sandusky or Steubenville all over it. Covering up sexual abuse.
