From the Courier Times article:

"Firefighters responding to a fire in apartment 604 at the complex found Talley, who was four months pregnant, dead on the floor with multiple stab wounds. R’Mani was found alive, but with at least one stab wound. She later died at St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown. Police believe the fire was intentionally set to cover up the murders."

They have a person of interest.

Marcel Johnson murdered a pregnant mother and her 4-year-old daughter because he wanted her life: her apartment, her money, and her drug business, prosecutors said.

But someone else's DNA was found on the body of Ebony Talley, Johnson's defense attorney told a Bucks County jury.

That jury heard opening arguments Wednesday morning in the death penalty murder trial. Johnson is charged with stabbing Talley, 22, and her daughter, R'Mani Rankins, 4, in their Bristol apartment in November 2013.

The prosecution wraps up its case in the trial of Marcel Johnson, a Bucks County man accused of killing a pregnant woman and her 4-year-old daughter, then lighting their bodies on fire.

The final witness called by the prosecution on the 4th day of testimony was jailhouse snitch George Lewis, an inmate who was working in the Bucks County Prison as what’s called a babysitter, assigned to watch a prisoner who might harm himself or others.

A Bristol Township man was sentenced to death on Tuesday for killing a young girl and to life in prison for killing her pregnant mother in November 2013.

Marcel Johnson, 22, was found guilty last week of two counts of first-degree murder, one count of third-degree murder, and one count of arson for setting the woman's Levittown apartment on fire after the killings.
