Nov 16, 2013: Remains of two adults and a child found in the Smokestack Hollow area of Panola Mountain

Nov 27, 2013: An incident report released by the LCSO indicated that the remains consisted of three skulls, bones, bone fragments, shoes, and bits of clothing.
http://newsok.com/jamison-family-wa...anishing-records-show/article/3909260/?page=2

File under.....various little tiddly-bits:

Two highly unofficial poll-type things - vote twice if necessary, still free both times. Heck, ten times.

So....if it's them, how long do you think the remains were at the place where they were found? They were last seen the ninth but the truck went unreported till the 17th.

1. Since very shortly after they disappeared. They died at the site.
2. Since within a week. They died at the site.
3. Since within a week; killed elsewhere then bodies left at site.
4. Since within a month; killed elsewhere, left at site after primary search ended.
5. Their remains were taken to the site during the interim years of their disappearance.
and....

"The % Poll" - basically a reckoning of what happened to the Jamisons, in your estimation: were they murdered? murder-suicide? died of exposure? something else, you name it? Choices are limited only by your imagination. Choose one or more and list the percentage of belief you have in each choice, i.e., mine from last thread:
I'm going
• 70% murder by local(s)
• 20% murder by other(s)
• 10% got lost / died of exposure
The caveat here of course is the remains still are not unofficially ID'd at this writing.

Correct me if I am wrong but LE hasn't officially confirmed the bodies to be that of the Jamisons. I mean we all can assume it's them and we are probably correct. I just find it odd that the McStay family was IDed within a few days of their bodies being found but we still have no official ID of the Jamisons. Does anyone else find this odd?

I'd also be interested to see if they can find out if there was any poison or venom (like from a snake) in them prior to death.

So noted above, and no, I don't think it odd. See thread #11 for info on Oklahoma's hugely "challenged" Medical Examiner's Office - 1300 case backlog, etc. etc.

As for the chances it's them, these must be close to 100% - no other trio has been reported missing on Panola. Barring a colossal visual misidentification - these turn out to be, say, skulls from Native Americans or mountaineers from days gone by - it's them.

The remains are reported to be skulls, bones, and bone fragments. Not sure we'll ever know the causes of death, whatever the case.

I'm not sure if forensic anthropology will come into play in this matter but if it does, OK does have the benefit of Dr. Clyde Snow, who lives near OKC. Dr. Snow will be 86 in January and I have no idea if he might be associated with this case, but if he's needed and if he does become, that's a huge asset. Google him.

Okay, here's a slightly updated version. Added a few items but the timeline is STILL NOT COMPLETE. Feel free to offer any additions, subtractions, and/or corrections. If you want to add something, please provide a source. This is still very much a work in progress.

Jamison Family Timeline

Very informative post! Now I'm wondering if there was any money remaining from Bobby's PI settlement. If that case was dismissed in March 2007, and the Jamison's were needing money in 2009, doesn't it seem like they probably would have exhausted those funds. So is the $32,000 that was in the Truck more likely to be half of the proceeds from a sale of land referred to in the topix post of 9/1/09? Does anyone know where this alleged sale occurred? Does it seem like a surprising coincidence to anyone that their ship came in twice with $64,000 each time? Maybe I'm just misunderstanding the timeline. If this has already been discussed, I apologize for bringing it up again.

I could be wrong but I thought I read they found ID's on the Mcstay's at least one of them and there bones were fairly organized and skeletons on the children complete. I believe they also used dental records to confirm, and I think I also read the DNA test would take 23 days on the Mcstays.

The Jamison's left all their ID's in their vehicles and as far as the skeletons found-they were scattered so they may not have had enough to even use dental records. So we gotta wait for the DNA test it looks like

From CircuitGuy's response I gather (If I read it correctly) that our cells are constantly pinging off a tower closest to us. So my question is-Did LE get with the cell phone company and find out if their phones ever pinged off any towers that would indicate their phones (at the least) left the area of where the truck was found?

Someone inquired on the old thread about the custody of her son. I read all the documents and the last one determined that "permanent, substantial and material change of conditions such that its in the best interest of the child". This could mean that Sherylin was moving a significant distance over 150 miles away and can be combined with the child getting older (needs changing) and preferring to live with his father. If I am wrong and there is a document stating the reason they awarded the father custody is due to there being a safety issue can you tell me which one it is (like the date of it) I could have missed it or not read it correctly.

I went back and looked at the court documents again just to make sure, and they don't mention any settlement at all. If there was an out-of-court settlement, I don't know how much it was. If anyone can find that info, I'll be happy to add it to the timeline.

The info about Sherilyn having $32,000 came from her BFF, who said she had just gotten her half from Bobby's mother and had it with her in a blue bank bag, and that it came from the sale of a piece of land. I have not yet located any documents regarding that land sale. Again, if anyone can find that info, I'll be happy to add it.

As deeply as I've been diving into the Jamisons' personal business, I still haven't figured out every single thing that was going on with them, legal, financial, or otherwise. That's also still a work in progress.

In search of additional info for the timeline, I finally succumbed to the lure of Topix, where Sherilyn's BFF has addressed the custody issue many times in the thread I'm currently reading, and her story has been pretty consistent throughout. So here's the gist of the custody issue as I understand it:

In less than a year prior to going missing, Bobby and Sherilyn had to deal with a house fire and having to rebuild the whole two-story section of their home, Bobby's parents divorcing and the bizarre and threatening behavior of his father, the call to DHS by Bobby Sr (which might be interpreted as a vindictive move as it occurred the same day Bobby Jr's PPO against him was dismissed), and Sherilyn trying to collect over $30,000 owed to her in back child support, plus Bobby's chronic back pain and Sherilyn's bi-polar illness, there was A LOT going on. Lots of stress, lots of tension, and lots of arguing.

Obviously, the mood in this household was not all roses and rainbows. Sherilyn's ex-husband had been trying to persuade their then-14-year-old son to come and live with him, promising him a motorcycle and this privilege and that enticement, which sounded like a lot more fun than he was having at home and he finally decided that he did want to go. Sherilyn was devastated, but chose not to fight her son on his decision. She also lost the back child support that was owed to her and the ex-husband saved over $30,000 in out-of-pocket expenses. Was that his motive? Heck if I know, but that's how it worked out. He no longer owed back child support and she was not required to pay him any child support in return.

That's all I've been able to gather so far. It was not Sherilyn's choice that her son went to live with his father. It broke her heart.

Exactly! Also, that is exactly what I read. I just didn't want to assume she "lost" custody in the sense she or Bobby were bad parents-doing drugs and abusing him (safety issue). I do think at times it was a stressful home (most are) for sure to live in and may even be the reason the son would rather live with his father, though, given it was so stressful I'm not sure why dad had to even entice him w/a motorcycle. So as I have come to understand it-the father has custody but NOT because of safety issues.

OkieGranny, that is one hellluva a timeline. Thank you for the work, I wsh every case had something that informative.
Can you or anyone please explain the change in voicemail name & why the last day it says odd voice mail calls? Is that referring to the name change? Also why don't we know who the last calls In coming are from? Or who the 2:02 from the day before, mystery number is?
Would the voicemail name change because they were in a differnt area like say the phone company saw it as the same number just differnt jurisdiction?
Tia.
I'm always impressed when a thread is kept together this long & finally, hopefully has some resolution. I have basic knowledge of this case but not anywhere near comfortable to vote yet. I know what stressors such as they seemed to be going through can do to your psyche (if murder/suicide) & I know how easy it would be to kill 3 humans(murder by local) . I just don't know why anyone would do that w/o knowledge of their truck to ransack it & find the cash. I just dont see them stumbling on to a drug operation that they as a family all see,; then are seen,; then all executed. If only for the child plus they seem like they could handle their own ground maybe impressing some meth head or pot grower that they aren't a threat. I just have no clue.
Srry mitch1.imo no way they are in witness protection imo. I just dont see anything that points to something they'd have to hide from like that. Imo. Though I do appreciate your thoughts.

Great timeline OkieGranny!

I had not realized SJ had attempted suicide circa 9/1/09.

Amazing sleuthing skills Okiegranny! :aktion:

First off, I just needed to post my thanks to you on the time you put into this case over the last 2 weeks since the remains have been found. Thank you again. I stumbled across this case while reviewing the Mcstays thread and let me tell you I can't stay away because of your detailed work here.

I agree, the Jamisons have endured ALOT in the year before their disappearance. It saddens my heart. :(

My hopes are that we do get some answers regarding the circumstances to their early demise. But the odds are very slim. IMO

I also wonder when the security cameras on their house were installed? According to Star, (in the Discovery ID episode) she stated she had them installed. I wonder if it was during the summer of 2009 when she lived with them? They all were very fearful of Bobby Sr.
