Kyle Mosher has been missing since July 20th. He was last seen near 7 Mile Road in Missaukee County, Michigan.

On July 20th Kyle Mosher and a friend drove onto a field in a pickup truck. As they driving on the field the pickup truck got stuck. Kyle and his friend along with Kyle's pit-bull named “Holly”, got out of the truck and began walking in the dark and got separated somehow. The friend made it out of the woods and is safe, however Kyle and his dog have yet to be found and that was the last time he's been seen.

The missing persons report was filed in Cadillac, Michigan by his fiancé Calli. Kyle is also is a father of 4 children.

Kyle is 5'10" and about 165 lbs. He has green eyes, short brown hair and a goatee. He has tattoos that reads 'Layla' on his neck and 'Mosher' on his back, along with many other tattoos. Kyle may have his brindle colored pit bull with him.

It has been brought up that Kyle has warrants out for him. But according to his mother, they were a child support warrant and a truck warrant, with a jail time of only 4 to 5 days.

If you have any information call the Cadillac State Police Post at 231-779-6040, or the Houghton Lake Post at 989-422-5024.

I'd love to hear the friend's first-hand account of the events.

A dog that had accompanied missing person Kyle Allen Mosher, 27, has been found, but there still is no sign of the Cadillac man who hasn't been seen since July 20. Mosher was with the dog when he was last seen.

The brindle-colored pit bull was found in poor condition Aug. 16 and is being treated at an animal shelter in Kalkaska

He is listed in NamUs and the dog was found. Adult missing men never receive the attention they should.

Oh wow, that's such a shame. That's not good at all. I would also like to know more about his friend. I mean...how does it happen like this? The friend goes with him, he makes it out okay, and he claims to know nothing about his missing friend. No. I don't buy that. There's more to this story for sure. Why would they separate anyway? Questions...questions...questions...

Somehow I think there is a lot more to the story... I doubt he would take off and just leave the dog... who besides the friend was the last to see him? When did the friend report him missing? Did he just go on home and figure Kyle made it home as well? Something is missing in this story...

There is an interesting comment below this news article, referring to the MSP.

Very interesting! Can I paraphrase the comment here? Mods delete if this isn't ok.

Basically the comment is a response by the local news saying LE has information that leads them to believe he left of his own accord and does not want to be found, therefore the news station will not be reporting on it further.

RubyRed, I'm assuming that's the comment you meant! Correct me if I'm wrong :)

That is the comment. I just wonder, when so many times people are considered to have walked and it turns out they haven't. Not sure about this case though.

here is another article with some comments that are worth reading.

The only question that I would have regarding that, is what about the dog? From what reports has said, the dog was found in a weakened condition and alone. I guess it's certainly possible that he just ditched the dog, but if this were something that was planned, why bring the dog along at all? Why not have the friend just take care of the dog and make sure the dog gets back home? It will be very interesting to see what comes of this...

He's been gone a long time and maybe he sneaked away from his friend and took off in the dark. I don't know how you just start over somewhere else though. Did they even search the woods?

The police did a search with K-9 dogs and an Aviation team in the air to try to find Kyle after the missing persons report was filed and the truck was found. The truck was found in a field in Kalkaska County, but the police and K-9 units had no luck finding Kyle.

Did the dogs lead anywhere I wonder? Or was he ever IN the woods? The news reports always say he was with an acquaintance, which to me does not sound like a 'friend'... wonder what their relationship was?

I looked at a map since I lived in MI for many years. The closest I've been to that area is Traverse City. I guess no car was found and I wonder how they got to that spot. No idea on a match. I thought KM was driving a car that wasn't found?

I'm sorry I forgot to reply to this. I'd have to search the archives, but I do know that they were two grown brothers who lived a transient lifestyle and appeared to have died of natural causes.
