PA - Diane Zavislak, 56, Kingston Township, 3 Nov 2013

    Diane Zavislak

Police in Kingston Township say they are looking for Diane Zavislak, 56, of Kingston Township. Investigators said her husband reported her missing on November fifth, two days after police in Ransom Township in Lackawanna County found the woman’s car.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

Well Diane's car was found in Ransom township, and now a woman's body has been found in a pond on private land there. It is clothed but badly decomposed and police say it has been there possibly months. Autopsy is set for Monday.

Police said they are investigating if the body is that of Zavislak, but will not know for sure until an autopsy is done, which is scheduled for Monday.
Diane's car was found parked a few miles upstream from where this body was discovered. More details:

From the description of the location at the link above, it does sound to me as though the deceased person is likely to have walked there on their own two feet. It seems like vehicular access isn't possible, and I can't see a predator carrying an adult body very far, especially across private land?

That's really odd. The farmer man who originally reported Diane's car abandoned at the gated road entrance, says it took police five days to respond, 'and they wouldn't do anything, because she wasn't reported missing'.

Can that be right? Diane's married, so I'd have thought her husband would have reported her missing before that.

ETA: Husband reported her missing two days after the car was found. I don't know if that means two days after police finally went out to the road, 5 days after the farmer first saw it. That would mean a whole week had passed, without husband notifying LE. WTH?

I thought that bringing this case over here, we could get some more eyes on it.

whose vehicle was found along Upper Narrows Road in Ransom Township, Lackawanna County, on Nov. 3. Her husband, Gerald Zavislak, reported her missing on Nov. 5.

Zavislak’s house on Spring Garden Street in Trucksville is about 10 miles from where her car was found

The following post is strictly just my opinion based on my interpretation of what has been written in Main Street Media, Private Newspapers and other posts to this site. Unless I have provided a link ---- any information should not be considered to be anything more than that.
