Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

Police identified the body, found near Fresh Pond in Cambridge, was John Rosenberger, the 61-year-old Arlington man who went missing in December, according to Arlington Patch.
“This is a sad conclusion to Mr. Rosenberger’s disappearance and our sincere condolences go out to the Rosenberger family,” said Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan in a statement.<snip>
An official positive identification is pending on the state medical examiner’s report.

An autopsy has been completed, but no cause of death determined in the case of John J. Rosenberger, 61, the Arlington resident found near the Fresh Pond Golf Course in March.

Rosenberger had been missing since December, and the state medical examiner conducted tests from March through September to determine the cause of death. As of August, the medical examiner had a backlog of 851 cases and a median turnaround time of 84 days. <snip>
Rosenberger often attended readings and presentations at the Harvard Book Store and Cambridge Public Library, as well as at the Boston Public Library.
