A Broward bicyclist was left in critical condition Tuesday after a hit-and-run driver struck him, then kept driving for two miles with the man caught in the car’s smashed rear window.

Once the driver arrived at his Pompano Beach townhouse, he removed the biker, identified as Craig Camlin, 53, from the car’s roof and dumped him in a wooded area behind a trash bin and bushes.

Then, the driver, who police said was 27-year-old Axel Inostroza, hid his damaged, black 2003 Ford Mustang to keep his girlfriend from seeing it and went inside to sleep, according to the confession he later gave investigators.

how do I even thak a post like that, lol?... And yet, I am glad to read it, to be aware, to be reminded of the evil in our world.

This is at least the 3rd case of this exact same thing happening that I can recall. I can not even imagine knowing you are being carried away and dumped in the bushes by the same guy who hit you. I hope this dude faces some serious charges. The post-meditation (?) is alarming on so many levels. Just wow.

Hope Mr. Camlin recovers (physically and mentally - geez) and is not left paralyzed by this.

Ugh, this reminds me of a hit and run very similar, only about a million times worse because the driver parked with the victim still stuck in her windshield in her garage and waited for him to die before dumping the body. :(

Glad this guy apparently survived.

Landscapers found Camlin alive in the woods later in the day and called police. He was rushed to a local hospital, where initial reports said he was paralyzed from the accident. Inostroza, whose only other trouble in his past included one disorderly conduct charge, according to court records, was arrested and held on $70,000 bond. Prosecutors say he admitted to drinking that night.

After Camlin succumbed to his injuries and died in February, a charge of murder with a deadly weapon was tagged onto Inostoza's initial charges of leaving the scene of an accident and tampering with evidence...

McCarthy ruled that Inostroza would remain in jail until he goes on trial for the alleged accident.

Axel Inostroza, the Pompano Beach man accused of striking a bicyclist in Fort Lauderdale and dragging him two miles before leaving him beside a dumpster in late 2013, was convicted of murder Monday...

He was also convicted of leaving the scene of an accident with serious bodily injury resulting in death and tampering with evidence.

Per Florida DOC, he was sentenced to 30 years for 2nd degree murder, 22 years for leaving the scene, and 5 years for obstruction. Current release date in 2044:
