Search for Heather Elvis to "kick up a notch" this weekend

It's been over a week since anyone has heard from 20-year-old Heather Elvis. The last time anyone spoke to her was about 3 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, after she went on a date.

Her mother said her date dropped her off at her house. Heather called her roommate to tell her how she had a great time. That is the last time anyone will admit to talking to her.

Search ramps up for missing Myrtle Beach woman

It's been more than a week since Heather Elvis was reported missing after her car was found abandoned near Peachtree Landing in Socastee December 19.

On the Facebook page set up to help find her, the family is asking anyone with boating experience or a boat to get in touch with the CUE Center for am organized search Friday at Peachtree Landing, 6699 Peachtree Road in Myrtle Beach. You are asked to arrive between 8 and 8:30 a.m. and this a volunteer effort.

Her father, Terry Elvis, has printed dozens of missing poster signs. He told News13 this time of the year was Heather's favorite. "Two days before she went missing she sent me a text just like every Christmas...she would send me an item that she wanted didn't say a word just sent the picture and those are under the tree, wrapped, they're ready, ready for her to come home," said Terry Elvis.
