Found Deceased NC - April Messer, 24, Four Oaks, May 2005

Durham / Raleigh:
The identity of a body found in the Neuse River Friday.

The State Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as 24-year-old April Messer of Four Oaks. A fisherman found her body. Messer's death is still under investigation, there's still no word on how she died.

Yeah, it's really sad. It's things like this that make me want to be a Criminal Prosecutor.

The Smithfield Police Department is still investigating how the body was placed in the Neuse River, but have said it no longer considers the death suspicious.
