    UK - Harry Martin, 18, Devon, 2 Jan 2014

A search is underway for 18 year old Harry Martin, missing from his Membland, Devon home since 1pm Thursday Dec 2nd.

Harry was last seen walking along a coastal path, on his way to take photos of stormy seas near Wembury Point, Devon. Harry is studying film at Greenwich University, London. He was only home for the holidays.

Hoping for a miracle here. The weather is not good.

Harry is 5'11", slim, with short dark hair, a light beard and blue eyes. He was wearing pinky coloured skinny jeans and a grey, hooded sweater.

I'm still looking for a number to call. Dial 101 or emergency on 999 if in doubt.

Edit: Anyone who sees Harry call devon police on 101, case 291.

The coastguard's been out searching in those seas for him today. Those guys are brave.

The weather has been atrocious and yesterday they were warning people to stay away from the coasts due to the expected storm surge/spring tide. Unfortunately people just don't listen - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...sea-front.html

If Harry has gone into the water it's going to be difficult, if not impossible, to find him.

Oh no, I've put December instead of January! So sorry.

    Thank you.

The search has resumed in atrocious conditions.

Please note, Harry has been missing since JANUARY 2nd, not December. I made a mistake when I started this thread.

Why is it the English are surrounded by the sea, but don't seem to take it seriously when it matters? Chilling, chilling pic.

Police say they are searching areas that were inaccessible before, and researching areas already covered. I think the best scenario at this point is that Harry has fallen down a cliff and is injured, but things do look very bleak now. The seas were very rough that day.

Missing Student Harry Martin: Body Found

    http://uk.news.yahoo.com/missing-stu...9.html#uQrKLRm
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. - 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)

We are all one poor choice from being a subject on this forum. Think twice.

Very sad, with his whole life ahead of him to.

Trouble is, kids this age think they are invincible. I've got one just the same - goes on out his motorbike in all weathers, despite warnings. Won't listen to a word I say, just replies "I'll be fine, I'm a good driver". They really don't think further than themselves - by which I mean, they don't consider that other people and other factors can affect what they do.

I can't sleep at night till my 18 year old is safely through the door, I really feel for Harry's parents.

Thanks mikkismom. This is sad news but not unexpected. I just heard about it on the radio. Searchers for Harry were out again this morning, so perhaps it was that group that made this discovery.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-25689759

Carswell Cove is a long way from Harry's home - right around a curve in the coastline. I don't think there is anyone else missing in the area though, so I am afraid this will be confirmed as him.

A lady named Lucie Bray was missing way down country in Cornwall but it isn't her. She was found deceased today too.

I don't blame you for worrying, especially with the motorbike. Trouble with them is, it's the car drivers who just don't SEE motorbikes you have to worry about.
