Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

A MAJOR land and sea search is underway after a naked man went missing from a Bournemouth address.

    ~~

Police have released a picture of the missing man and Sergeant Billy Bulloch of Bournemouth Police said: “We are very concerned for Aaron’s welfare as it is believed he left his parents’ home in Bournemouth not wearing any clothes.

To be honest that doesn't even touch on the problems out there! It's relatively mild for the time of year (though I'd want clothes) but it's the storms that are the problem.

http://www.surf-forecast.com/breaks/.../metars/latest - heavy rain, strong to gal;e force winds.. there's also a lot of flooding around the area

    He lives here: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr...=prev&t=h&z=15

On foot it's less than a mile to the sea, but even less to the River Stour which is on flood alert (http://www.itv.com/news/meridian/upd...r-river-stour/)

    His mother speaking:
“He had been having panic attacks over the weekend and I knew he needed help, but he must have suddenly snapped. He was in a distressed state.”

“We think he jumped out of the first floor window naked as all his clothes were left, the window was wide open and we saw bare footprints on the ground outside."

Colleagues start poster campaign in bid to find missing man Aaron Fiveash -

The friends and colleagues of a missing man have started a poster campaign in a bid to help find him. Workers at John Reid and Sons have been looking for Aaron Fiveash every day since he went missing naked and without any possessions from his parents home in Southbourne.

I wonder if the body that washed up near Portsmouth earlier this week might be him? Hampshire and Dorset are adjacent counties and last I heard they were asking people to look out for clothing that might belong to him.

Edited to add: Hampshire Constabulry's appeal. He matches the description of the body.

    I guess it's possible.
Here are 2 articles on the body found:

They say that a post mortem would be performed today. I haven't seen anything about results.

I doubt they'd release information unless they had to, based on the news coverage of previous bodies washing up. Aaron fits the age, height range, physical description, and Southbourne is along the same coastline as Portsmouth. Maybe 25 miles by sea?

Oh dear, this sounds very ominous. Especially as there don't seem to have been any reports of a naked man made since the disappearance.

'police...are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have found a pile of clothes nearby, as the man was found naked'.

    http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/dog...each-1-5846828

This is very important. Suicides rarely remove their clothes. So the person found may be a victim of a crime.....or someone who didn't have their clothes on when they went into the water.
