Ernest Guinto is a 36 year old man that is missing from Mississauga, a city in Southern Ontario, Canada, since December 29th, 2013. He was last seen by a member of his family. According to his family, this is out of his character. Guinto is a 5' 7" Asian male with a heavy build weighing in at 170 lbs. His long black hair is shaved at the sides and his eyes are brown.

Mississauga– Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 36 year old male.

Ernest GUINTO was last seen at Square One by a family member on December 29, 2013. Mr. GUINTO is a resident of Mississauga and has never been missing before.

Ernest GUINTO is described as male, Asian, 36 years of age, 5’7”, 170 lbs, with a heavy build, long black hair shaved at the sides, with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red hoody, dark jogging pants and light brown Timberland boots.

Police and family are concerned for his safety. He keeps in touch with his girlfriend and family regularly, however no one has spoken with him since December 29.

Officers received new information this week that Ernest Guinto, 36, who has been missing since Dec. 29, 2013, was in the area of 55 The Esplanade, a Toronto Community Housing building, during late December, and may have associated with a white male. Investigators are seeking information on the identity of this male and released a surveillance photo of him.

ONTARIO COLD CASE: Man vanishes after being dropped off at bookstore

“It’s been just over five years, but we’re not losing hope,” his sister Carmi Guinto posted on her Facebook page earlier this year. She wrote that her brother is always on her mind, and his absence hurts most during the holidays and around her birthday.

“Please keep my brother in your prayers for his safe return,” she wrote.


“Investigators continue to make efforts to obtain information as to Guinto’s whereabouts,” Wright said, noting no new information has been forthcoming recently.

“We remain hopeful that, with the assistance of the public and his friends, more information will become available,” he said.
