Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

I wonder if a cause & manner of death can be determined? We will wait and see, I guess.

I'm so glad his family will have a resting place to go.
So tragic what jealousy does to people.

Here are a couple of articles about the finding of the body, before it was identified as Robertson:

Approximate location on map; he was well off the road to the north of Mendon Street, an area of several hundred acres that is mostly not used except by hunters. It's one of the more isolated places in the region (only about 20 miles from me) but probably less than ten minutes off the main highway. Long way from Avon where he was kidnapped, though. https://goo.gl/maps/vhjxmtLgEoQ2
Opinions expressed are strictly my own (who else would they belong to???)

Three men already accused of kidnapping James Robertson after he was taken from his parent's home in Avon over two years ago have now been charged with his murder...

A Norfolk County Grand Jury returned first-degree murder and kidnapping while armed causing serious bodily injury indictments against Albert Ricci of Canton, Scott Morrison of Norfolk and James Feeney of Dedham.

    From June:

James Robertson will finally be laid to rest Saturday...

Investigators conducted a final search for additional remains a couple weeks ago, then released the body to the funeral home...

This May, three men originally charged with kidnapping in James Robertson’s disappearance were indicted with first-degree murder. And while David Robertson said that was a big step, he won’t be satisfied unless former Dedham police officer Michael Schoener is also charged with murder.

Trial approaching in Avon murder case as anniversary nears

    http://www.enterprisenews.com/news/2...iversary-nears

James Feeney, 46, of Dedham; Scott Morrison, 49, of Norfolk; and Alfred Ricci, 48, of Canton, were indicted by a Norfolk County grand jury on April 29 on charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping while armed with a dangerous weapon inflicting serious bodily injury.

A fourth man, Michael Schoener, a former Dedham police officer, is charged with accessory before the fact of kidnapping and was released after posting $5,000 bail last August.

All four men were set to appear in Norfolk County Superior Court in Dedham for a status hearing Wednesday afternoon, but none of them were present in the courtroom. The four defense attorneys met with First Assistant District Attorney Lynn Beland prior to the case being called and decided on a trial assignment date.

The four men are due back in superior court on January 24 for trial assignment. During that hearing, the attorneys will determine which of the four defendants will be tried first, as they intend to be tried separately.

WHY is the former police officer out on only $5000 bail?

This is insanity. He had to have known that the plan was to, at the least, hurt the victim. Once again it appears there are different laws and "justice" in this country depending on who you are.

    Edited to add

IN FACT IT"S LIKELY THIS CORRUPT COP IS THE MAIN REASON THIS MAN DIED:

"In August 2013, Robertson was arrested breaking into a car outside Feeney's apartment. According to court records, during his booking process, Robertson told a Dedham police detective that he would give police details about Feeney's drug operation in exchange for help with his own case.

    Five months later, Robertson disappeared.

Robertson's kidnapping on Jan. 1, 2014 is under investigation as a homicide."

Pain remains on anniversary of Avon man's kidnapping
James Robertson was taken from his parents' Avon home on New Year's Day in 2014. Sunday marks the third anniversary of his disappearance and the men charged in his murder will soon stand trial.

I can't find anything on what happened Jan 24 and who will be tried first. Poor guy's getting forgotten.
