11 and 7 yr. old boys raped a 4 yr. old girl

I just registered on this site, but have been a long time viewer and felt I found a community that cares as much as me, not to mention- are as bothered as I am by all of the horrifying acts committed upon children. These crimes really affect me. I find this community very insightful as well as a place you can go to find others that are really sick of these endless and heart breaking real events occurring to children and desperately want justice for these victims. I am very passionate about this topic and it's a topic I have lived but these children are more important to me. I wanted to inform you of a story covered on the news tonight (Ohio) involving a four year old girl that was raped by a 11 yr. old boy and a 7 yr. old boy ( the boys are related-cousins). They dragged the little girl in to a closet and raped her, it was hinted that they did so in some horrible ways. This took place at their babysitter's house, where they seems to be a good deal of children. It was said that the mother was seen running out of there carrying her daughter, holding her and screaming, people knew something must have taken place but did'nt exactly know what, the police were called and arrived. There was'nt really any more reported at this time. It is just hard to just mentally wrap your mind around adults raping children and then little children raping and molesting children-no matter if you extremely intelligent in psychology or it has happened to you.....I just feel to be human is overrated and sometimes these people seem more like monsters and just pure evil...........

What a horrible story little girls are supposed to be treasured, not brutally attacked by their playmates.

My God. There is something wrong in the world when children of this age know about stuff like that. What this tells me is that at least the 11-year-old had to see whatever sexual acts were done to this girl to be able to do it.

    Oh, and welcome, disenchantment.

    This is really too sad!

I read on here quite a bit but do not usually post. This really stirs me up.

I truly believe that the media, especially prime time television has played a major role in all the sexual acts being done by especially the younger children. Why do we need that kind of filth coming into our homes. My children are all grown but if I had small children I would really throw the television in the lake.

Until we all wake up and stir up some trouble for these people we are going to be going down the same sick path we are now on.

It's not the media....10 times out of 10 the children are victims of molestation themselves(or they are exposed to extreme pornography which has the same effect,in some cases,as molestation or rape)

Its a cycle of abuse that continues.

People need to stop looking the other way and report abuse(even iof its child on child).

TV will not cause a child to rape *but* being a victim will.

I know people feel that and believe that.....

However I have gone through sexual abuse in childhood and adulthood and barely escaped it in my first encounter with my babysitter's son when I was about five, I know others that feel like me in that knowing how it was for us we could never imagine causing that pain for someone else, but then I know people in psychological professions that say for many they just go on to do it to others...I have a hard time with that one....I do agree however that not nearly enough has ever been done to protect children. It just gets worse and worse....

I am a molestaion and rape survivor and I wouldn't dare hurt or violate ANYONE (child or adult) the way I was but that is just not true with all victims(esp.males it seems).
Another cycle of abuse is a girl who is abused goes up to marry an abuser and "allows" her children to be abused.
I saw enough of that in my time as a case worker to last a dozen lifetimes!!
These women KNEW their daughters(and sons) were being molested and did NOTHING.They either denied it or ignored it.One woman told me "thats just what happens. She'll get it over.It happened to me and I turned out fine"(She honestly belived this!! She allowed her daughter to be molested and raped but thought she was a "good mom"!!!!!!!!!!!)

The majority of victims do go on to victimize..........either they become molesters or they victimize themselves by becoming addicts or alcoholics or allow themselves to become dangerously promiscious.

Glad to see you are posting on the board, disenchantment. Here is an another article on this:

    http://www.wcpo.com/news/2005/local/05/10/rape.html

according to this article, one of the boys may have previously been a victim of rape himself previously. "Lester says she's already confronted the mother of one of the boys. She says the mom told her the boy was a victim of rape himself. "
Just when I think that I have seen the most depraved things a human can do to another human, somebody posts a new story...........

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?

    Hmmm

I am in the Denver CO area, and Peter Boyles is THE best radio talk show person on the planet. Radio station KHOW. You can Google KHOW.com.

Last week he had a topic going about what the listening audience felt about people having to get a legal license in order to give birth to a child. Hmmm.

Wonder how many jerk offs we could keep from abusing their children by doing that? Hard to tell isn't it.

Welcome Newbies, and all of those who come to Websleuths for their concerns for victims, and for some therapy for themselves as well.

On the JonBenet case, early on they brought in a well known psychic, who just after she stepped into the front entry, said to look in the closet there, and LE would find a childs yellow rain coat, with fingerprints on it of the abuser.

When it was mentioned on this thread the the little boys were in a 'closet' doing their deeds, it brought the JonBenet case to mind.

I do believe the psychic was discounted, BUT BUT itwas reported that there was indeed a yellow rain coat in that closet. It was reported that the closet door was not opened during the psychics visit. As we all know reports from media are sometimes not accurate, and I don't know if tests were ever given on the coat, OR IF IF there actually was a yellow rain coat in the closet.

The parents of the victim make a good point in the article from the above link:

"If a sex offender moves next door to me I'm alerted, but if a family who has a 14, 15, 12 year old sex offender in their family, then I know nothing about it. And, they're playing with my kids. They're playing with everybody's kids," Allen Lester said.
But how far do we go in identifying offenders?? Should these kids be identified as sex offenders or should we give them a second chance?

That makes me so mad I could just spit! These children are too young to even begin to understand what has happened.
What is the society/ "the system" to do with these traumatized 3 children now? The little girl will most likely never fully get over this and as well the boys could be victims of chronic abuse and could continue to harm others! We can't just lock up a 7 & 11 year old, I hope they get the help they need.
