    WV - Jeanna Mayle, 30, Bridgeport, 8 Jan 2014

    Jeanna Mayle

Jeanna Mayle, 30, was arrested along with 31 year old Rickey Carpenter on drug selling charges back in February of 2013. On Wednesday, January 8th, Mayle disappeared. Authorities thought Mayle fled community corrections, but now say they believe there is more to this disappearance. Law enforcement suspect foul play.

Please call Chief Deputy Carpenter with the Barbour County Sheriff's Department at 304-457-2352.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

1 Year Later, Barbour Co. Woman Still Missing
One year has passed since 32-year-old Jeanna Mayle of Barbour County was last seen and now her family is pleading for some answers. "We have some hope. Some days we don't, but we know that she is not coming home. We know that. I just hope that they find her," said Jennifer Mayle, Jeanna's sister. The last time the family had contact with Jeanna things didn't seem quite right. They believe she got involved with the wrong crowd, and that's when things began to take a turn. "We tried to call her, text her, Facebook her, nothing," said Jamie Sturm, Jeanna's sister.

"The day before she went missing we spoke to her and we did on a daily basis. Even though she kind of lived a different lifestyle than we did, she was still in our lives," said Mayle. Some say Jeanna was last seen in Barbour County, Preston County, or even as far as Calhoun County, but to this day the pieces to this puzzle still remain a mystery.
