Detroit Police are searching for a missing 58-year-old man with diabetes. He was last seen at his home at the 600 block of Goldengate on December 26.
He told his son that he would be back in a couple of days, but the family hasn't heard from him since then.

Rainey is described as 5'-11", about 155 pounds with short black hair.

If anyone knows of his whereabouts, please contact police at 313-596-1340.

Rainey's father, 57-year-old Willie F. Rainey, hasn't been heard from or seen since Dec. 26 of last year. Now his son is looking for closure, even if it means acknowledging his father is dead.

State Police Trooper Sarah Krebs, who works on missing persons cases, led an information collection event at the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office Thursday...

"It's been rough," Rainey said. "I came home, his coat is there, shoes there, his ID there, his Bridge card there, a little bit of groceries on the table as if he were just there, but he wasn't there. It was very weird." Rainey said he's "trying not to think the worst," but said his dad "would never" disappear for months at a time like that.

Details of Disappearance
Rainey was last seen at his home in the 600 block of west Goldengate in Detroit, Michigan on December 26, 2013. He left home at 4:00 p.m., telling his son he'd be back in a few days, but he never returned and has never been heard from again.

Rainey left all his belongings behind, including his identification and his coat, as well as some groceries sitting out on the table. Few details are available in his case.
