Randal Rahushun Roberson reportedly left about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, en route to New Summerfield, and he never arrived at his location. He also never returned to his residence.

He was traveling in a white 1995 Mercury Cougar, which was found abandoned Thursday on a county road just north of New Summerfield, police said.

Just about ten miles between the two towns. Not very far at all.

Randal is 6'1" tall and 210 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Has a tattoo of the Bentley car logo on his chest and a tattoo that reads "Donovan Ray" on his neck. Last seen wearing a black ball cap, dark blue t-shirt, black pants, blue and black Nike Jordan shoes and a silver necklace with a silver pendant.

I think it is a little further than 10 miles. This is VERY close to where I live and I know that area very well, been here most of my life. I do not know this young man at all, but Jacksonville is a small town, and New Summerfield is a tiny little community. There are lots of wooded areas between the two towns.

I hope he is found or turns up somewhere soon. The weather is pretty cold right now.

While New Summerfield police officials investigate the death of Javier Jimenez, found July 29 near Reklaw, Jacksonville police officials continue to search for a man missing since January.
Randal Roberson, 28, reportedly left about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, en route to New Summerfield, and never arrived at his location. He also never returned to his residence.
“We are making progress in this case and have developed suspects, which we continue to pursue evidence which will lead to a successful prosecution in this case,” said Jacksonville Police Detective James Oden.
Oden said since the investigation is ongoing, he cannot release any new information. However, he said, “many leads have come in from the public, and I am working through these leads, as well as information gathered through interviews and interrogations.”

They have gathered evidence for a successful prosecution so I guess a crime has been committed. ..

Do you think they are linking these two guys together for a reason ? I wonder if they used to run together or were friends/acquaintances ?

It's difficult to tell if Jiminez is mentioned strictly due to the geography or not. Jiminez's vehicle carrier trailer that was attached to his truck is missing. http://www.ktbs.com/story/26179766/...-left-with-more-questions-about-disappearance

It seems to me to be more of a LE is dilligently working to solve two separate local cases article, but stranger things could be unknown to us. From New Summerfield where Randal was headed to in Jan 2014 to where Jiminez was found deceased in July. About 8 miles - http://goo.gl/maps/jqQBD

Randal has been missing a year today.

New details in East Texan disappearance

"The person that went missing, due to my investigation, I know was involved in a narcotics trafficking, with a group of people that are responsible for what took place," said the case detective, James Oden.

The drug, specifically, is methamphetamine. Recently, there was a major crack in the case.

"We have a very good idea where the body is," said Oden.

Jacksonville police say their search for Roberson has led to dozens of other arrests.

“Last year on April 1, we arrested 20 - I think there was 27 indicted and we arrested 20 something people here in Jacksonville - in an early morning roundup. That is a direct result of this investigation into his death,” Oden said. Oden says Randal Roberson did have a drug-related arrest but his mother says he was working to turn his life around.
