VA VA - Highland Springs, HispMale 25-35, UP12242, near golf course, Spongebob blanket, bracelet Jan'14

I think Dashad was from Charlottesville. Not that it's not possible. I just looked at missing persons from Henrico County.

That area can be sketchy. I grew up 10 miles from there and lived in an apartment for a few months in my early 20's.

I see. Interesting case. Wonder where the other guy is??!!

Heather Elvis? :(

P.S. I know she is from MB, SC, but you never know.

Skeletal remains found in woods.

I submitted Benjamin Lloyd Coffey for this UID. Height and area are a match, otherwise not much to go on.

This "Jumpology" appears to be located in Glen Allen, VA, just north of Richmond. According to news articles, it opened approximately March, 2013. I wonder if investigators have taken the bracelet to Jumpology - perhaps such bracelets were only used for a short time frame, or its color or design could narrow the time frame a bit more. Also, Jumpology requires waivers to enter. I wonder how long they save waivers?

I was thinking a lot of the same questions. When I called about Mr. Coffey, the officer told me that he didn't actually disappear from Richmond, but from Tappahannock, which is considerably further away, making the match less likely... Surely the investigating officers asked Jumpology a lot of the same questions.

And if Jumpology opened in 2013, that would rule out Benjamin, who went missing in December 2012.

The Jumpology FAQ says electronic waivers are good for a full year, but there are temporary printed ones for parties and classes to use. Sounds like they don't save those http://jumpology.us/faq.aspx#20055-do-you-have-a-printable-waiver

This is the location where he was found, approximately: https://goo.gl/maps/iEJCy. (If you click street view, it takes you to Confederate Run, which is the next street over.) It appears to be an apartment complex called Jackson Pointe.

I found this article about the remains: http://www.nbc12.com/story/24573505/human-remains-found-in-highland-springs

This article says they think he's Hispanic: http://www.timesdispatch.com/news/l...cle_48d34086-abaa-11e3-94c7-001a4bcf6878.html

He has DNA and dentals. And there's a reconstruction:

Giving this doe some love and a bump with information from the FBI VICAP alert.

"On 1/28/2014, the victim's remains were found near some vacant apartments in Highland Springs, Virginia. The victim's skull was separated from the other remains due to either animals or environmental circumstances. Other skeletal bones were found inside four layers of tied black plastic trash bags and were lying underneath a futon mattress, along with a “Sponge Bob” fleece blanket."

I'm personally betting he or his family was from within the "Loop" of Richmond, between Interstate 295 and Route 288, given Jumpology/Defy Air Sports' location. I live about 2 miles away from it, and it sits near a frankly, abandoned mall and some standard stores like Target and such. Here's an image of it on Google Maps: خرائط ‪Google‬‏‏

The area it's in though is at least a mile from 295 and 95, with plenty of traffic lights in between, so it's not necessarily an area where someone going through the area would stop specifically for. Richmond is a pretty common "pit stop" town too, since going further on 95 will take you further south and going east on 64 will take you to Virginia Beach. I'm really betting that he or some extended family is native to that area.

Wow that's so creepy he had a Jumpology band on.... he was obviously in the Richmond area when he was killed and likely from the area. I'm sure (I hope) they've contacted Jumpology about the band... they have different colors for different times of the day but if they changed their logo or band design at all it could give them an idea of when he was killed.

I might be totally wrong since I haven't been there in awhile, but I want to say it was a different color band based on what day of the week you were there.
